    Renn’s blood cold. He went for the neck, hoping to sever the fell beast’s head See, this is where the loyalty factor comes in. Renn is loyal… to a fault sometimes.

    “Thou who opposes the great god Axzi, leave my presence!” These gods did not serve Axzi. They refused his divine rule. So they fell from grace, and joined the enemy. Renn’s eyes hardened. ”Die” He charged, knife held in reverse. He had no magic, but with the gods on his side, he could not fail. He must not.

    …Eowyn?? Is that you? “So… oh by Graelth’s hallowed name, you’re one of them. The dark gods have come for me.” Renn’s heart threatened to beat out of his chest. What had he done to deserve this?

    Renn stopped. How had this man seen it? He must serve the dark gods. ”Teleportation is not granted to men! Where did you get these powers? Only a dark god could grant them! Dakko’s Blade, they have me surrounded!” He pulled out his knife. This Rebus thing must be evil as well.

    “I… very well” Renn figured that it didn’t matter that much. He was still wary. Teleportation was not granted by the gods. He paused. She must serve one of the dark gods then. His hand crept towards his knife. Wait, this man had suddenly appeared too! He took a step back.

    Renn figured then, that if they were like the gods, perhaps it might not be quite as bad. Better than normal people. “So how does teleportation get involved in this?”

    Renn paused. He was growing tired of all this talking. He couldn’t stand- well, just standing around, yammering like an old lady. “Well, gods are divine, all knowing.”

    Yeah, for Ashertmarn Sanderson said in a WoB that it correlates with Sinew, and flesh, but he didn’t want it to be too… gruesome, going for more carapace like. I believe that Ashertmarn is the best fit for flesh, being a massive, black heart, fitting with the flesh theme. I guess the blightwind one might make some sense I can’t find a whole lot of justification for others though. It would help if we knew more about either unmade or spores, but alas.

    I think that is a good theory. The WoB certainly supports it. I guess that’s another reason why he didn’t take their powers, beyond the Sunmaker Gambit. So, are we thinking that instead of taking from the shard that he took from their creations, corrupting them like how they tried to corrupt the Sibling? Edit: somebody asked this and got RAFO’d Beyond that, @TwinStorm pointed out that “Sanderson has confirmed in a wob that all the Unmade all native to Roshar” So… idk how viable this is anymore, unfortunately, but Sanderson said it was a good question, and it seems like we’re getting more info soon (5+ years…)

    “…so I’m not even in control of myself?” Though not apparent from the outside, Renn’s mind was racing. Narrators? Avatars? How would one even know what to look for? If he was only being influenced, how could he tell what wasn’t really him?

    Renn had never heard of this “Thread”, let alone working teleportation. He’d seen his fair share of magic in his days, although unfortunately he was born without. Had this man hit his head recently? He looked for signs of drunkenness, but found none. “I… what?” His voice was faintly accented, though unlike any this man had likely heard before. His people were little known. Little loved. Perhaps it was better that way. “…What is a Rebus?”
