  1. Starseeker, New Hallandren, New Hallandren Garrison Starseeker nodded, and Crimson made himself visible. "Whoever he was fighting has left, and there's no one else in the area," the inkspren said.
  2. Did you learn python on KA? I said it because back when I coded on KA, there was only HTML/JS (and SQL, but I didn't use it) and there was no feature for multiple files at all
  3. That... isn't exactly what I'm talking about Ah yes that makes sense.
  4. Woah another Khan Academy user Wait they have python now? You can use multiple files? Gasp! I really has been ages since I coded on Khan Academy Is Primavera still a thing? I haven't actually played the game yet but this is way bigger in scope than anything I've made
  5. Starseeker, New Hallandren, New Hallandren Garrison Starseeker nodded. He felt Midas' Investiture spike - like that time he drained Kai's Stormlight. The other person's Investiture went down a bit, and then they fled, leaving Midas behind. "That was almost certainly a fight," Crimson said. When Midas didn't move, Starseeker turned towards Limel and Cayansa. "I believe Midas may be injured," he said. @Hoid Slayer @Ink and Embers
  6. "Breathing another day is always a victory. The cost paid in blood will always haunt me. But I live." - @IcedOutPenguin
  7. So, I read some more Tailored Realities, as well as the audiobooks for the Institute and the Will of the Many Perfect State by Brandon Sanderson Really cool concept, and I agree with Brandon in saying that this could legitimately be the future we live in. Probability Approaching Zero by Brandon Sanderson Nice twist Surprising, how much a 2-page story can tell. Defending Elysium by Brandon Sanderson Wow the Skyward lore has a lot more context now Firstborn by Brandon Sanderson Interesting. The Institute by Stephen King First time I read anything by Stephen King, and first time I read anything that could be counted as horror, unless the 3 Body Problem counts. Overall, fairly good, though the psychic stuff is a little too soft-magic-y for me, and I feel like the characters' logic is missing something at the end... The Will of the Many by James Islington I'm not done yet (around chapter XVIII I believe), but this is fire! It feels a lot like Red Rising, not just because it's Roman-inspired, but also the Hierarchy, the main character's motivation and even his personality. The Hierarchy is a far more humane than the Society though, and merit actually plays a way bigger role, but are still some parallels. I'm up to where If I were to compare it further to the Red Rising series, I feel like, so far, it has aspects in common both Red Rising and Golden Sun [The Will of the Many + Golden Son] Overall, really, really good. The Hunger Games-type thing in Red Rising is not present, so plot-wise it's kind of like the start of RR and combined with GS. Now, I wonder if there'll be Morning Star in the same book...
  8. There would a layer of pure diamond beneath the surface, which later would give way to molten, then liquid steel before a liquid iron outer core and a solid iron inner core The density would be waaay higher than any known planet, and the surface gravity would instantly turn humans into slime...
  9. Yeah, but it won't fall intact It'll be ripped apart first by the planet's gravity, though it'll probably rip part of the planet too due to the insane density In fact, if there were no planet in the area, the steel would most likely stratify into an iron core and carbon crust+mantle, the core most likely being liquid for some time because of the pressure. Now this is giving me ideas for a steel planet...
  10. Well, since steel is about twice the density of the moon, a moon-sized steel ball would be about twice the mass, and exert significant gravitational pull, messing up the orbit of whatever planet you build it around, as well as any natural moons. It doesn't need to spin; build it the wrong way, and roche limits will tear it apart and molten steel will rain down onto the planet it's built around.
  11. Corvus nodded. "How many characters are on this planet? And is this afterlife like the Cognitive Realm or...?" Renamed sighed and shook his head. Time for Sandy was passing about eleven times slower than for Renamed, and a required Author was inactive.
  12. I am back!

Time to get through 129 notifs.
