  1. Well what do you know. Storms I'm good. Hopefully we can find the real means of killing the House tonight. I appreciate the write up Wyrm, although I am a little confused as to why Aon switched genders.
  2. Aon leaned against the wall while the explorers gathered, failing to hold back a self satisfied smirk. "Who do you think found the Heart, Sheon? Who has been able to hear it's call from the very beginning?" Belatedly, she realized she had failed to share what she had heard earlier, so no one knew what she was talking about. "Me, of course." And it was beautiful. Clearly, killing the professor had gotten the House's attention. Shara, however, seemed unimpressed. She rattled off some nonsense about suspicious voting patterns and trying to capitalize on the professor's death. Now that won't do.... Okay Nyali. What the heck. I get that your reasoning is largely subjective, but I would appreciate if you had your facts straight. So. Suspicious voting patterns? For votes I can remember: (I'm not going to bother reading back through the thread for this.) I voted for Len shortly after Wilson (which, although I know it is unconfirmable, is what I would've done even if Wilson hadn't voted for him. I'd expressed suspicion of him more than once prior.) I abstained from the Dani lynch, since Mark's post made me privy to information that made me believe she was innocent. However, I declined to reveal this because I felt we would gain more useful info from the lynch proceeding as it stood. I voted for Hael because I was suspicious of him previously, I knew ahead of time Wilson had planned to scan him with Tin, and a fake scan gambit didn't seem like something Wilson would do for such little gain. However, despite this, I did not "capitalize on his death" as you so helpfully insist. I asked questions. I worked to confirm and iron out both his and Wilson's stories. Heck, for a while I honestly believed Hael might be innocent. I'm not sure where your 'feelings' are coming from, but they are wrong. And now for DA. There is so much I could say here, but suffice it to say that most of it would break some or another etiquette rule. I've been busy the last couple nights, so haven't had time to post. (I am also rather angry about some IRL stuff, which I'm aware is coming across. I'm not in the mood to apologize, however.) I'm not a hemalurgist. I've never been a hemalurgist. As far as I'm aware, there is no village hemalurgist. (Why would there be? It's not an inherent ability like allomancy or surgebinding and Wyrm confirmed that the only village roles would be inherent.) I straight up said as much in my analysis of the omen I found the same night you supposedly found your book. I claimed to you in your PM because you were and are being suspicious as hell, and I wanted to call your bluff and see what you'd do. (Wilson can confirm, if she so desires.) Unfortunately for me, you gave me just as much for your being a Traitor as not. And by the way, you explored instead of translating the very thing we supposedly need to kill the House? Which we could have done this very night if you had? No. That doesn't happen, I'm sorry. Either you're an Elim who did something stupid and is trying to stall for time, or you're being deliberately unhelpful. (And according to you, if you die your item gets given to another villager rather than taken by the House, so there's really nothing to lose in killing you.)
  3. ...He's not going to answer that. Doing so would confirm that you have said item. Better question would be @Wyrmhero @Kasimir In the rules it explicitly states that the item required to kill the House cannot be found until a traitor can be killed. Is this indeed the case? Which, to be honest, I belive it is. So I'm calling bull on your claim as well.
  4. Okay Wilson. My suspicions are assuaged for now; while if you are a traitor you aren't going to follow through on that, and if you are an explorer being duped by a hypothetical Lightweaver-fabrial, I'd rather you didn't follow through on that, I suppose I can understand what's going on there. While no vote manipulations have happened so far, there are at least three types of vote-manipulation items/roles running around that I am aware of. (One of which you yourself had, Hael.) Mesa... no offence, but if I had a scanning ability I wouldn't even consider PMing you tonight. You've done nothing remotely trustworthy this game so far.
  5. Unfortunately there's no easy way to IC this, so I'm breaking character. ...? While I wasn't terribly suspicious of Wilson, now I am. When exactly did you get a mixed metal vial, and from whom? That whole statement feels ridiculously out of character. While I feel like a sympathy/appeal to illogic ploy along those lines is unusual for evil!Wilson as well, now I'm confused. As for you, Hael... The only known stolen items have been metallic, and that feels like a trend to me. (In regards to Feruchemical steel Thief.) Otherwise... your argument feels strange. Bits of it aren't quite pulling together for me. Not all of it is directly relevant, and it feels written in such a way as to make Wilson look more suspicious than her actions completely warrant. However, as stated, I don't completely trust Wilson, and some of her comments this cycle have felt strange to me as well. So... I'll be watching. My vote may change before the end of the day.
  6. Aon paced the halls of the House, fuming. The pen Khaos had given her was... frustrating. It spoke the House's Will for certain; it had lead her to the book, after all. But it seemed almost as if the House was... teasing her. Leading her on. Nothing else she had found had been of any real consequence. Sudden raised voices broke her from her reverie. Stilling, Aon's eyes narrowed as she listened. The stuffy Professor had killed Quintus? A small voice in the back of her mind wondered if Khaos had confided the target of her stalking in anyone but herself, but it was quickly drowned out by more important questions. Albert had been chosen by the House instead of her? That wouldn't do. A wide smile slowly broke across her face. But of course. It's time to make the House listen to me, instead. Turning towards the source of the sound, Aon practically pranced into the room where the other Explorers were discussing. "Now," she said, singsong, "our dear Professor has been a very naughty boy, hasn't he? And this talk of feru-whatsit that no one can confirm? While refusing to cast suspicion on Khaos, who is, by rights, quite suspicious? That's downright shifty, that is." Apparently Aon is psychic too, as well as crazy. It's the only way I could work the questions I wanted to ask into RP though.
  7. ...Interesting. I'm glad I waited before posting my thoughts. I think I'll wait a little longer, now. I do believe Dani is likely an Elim, but certain elements are coming together a little too cleanly, and giving me some new suspicions. I would share, but the information might do more to muddle the waters than clear them, right now.
  8. Thanks for showing up guys. We have two pages now! We have a vote on an active player! I personally agree with Wilson. Elenion. You've been oddly cautious this game compared to how you've played before, and the situation with JUQ feels off. If you're innocent, I'm sorry. I think you're our best shot right now though. Now, anyone want to make this into a real lynch? We're two and two for PK and Len; let's not leave this deadlocked.
  9. Well this has been an active day. >> We've still got 20+ players and we've had less than a page of discussion with just four hours left in the day. It's the fourth day, people! This is when discussion should be hitting it's stride and finding Eliminators, not petering out. @Wonko the Sane@Doc12@Nyali@Araris Valerian@Bugsy6912@Ookla the Inimitable@Nathanvanduij@Arinian@OrlokTsubodai@polkinghornbd@Clanky@The_Lady_of_Chaos@jefrywlfersn@Ookla the Paranoid@Ookla the Incarnate@Elbereth@Ookla The Russian (Mark) I think that's everyone who hasn't already been mentioned. Plus the other two, that's nineteen players. Of 27. That's a solid 70% inactivity rate on the fourth day. Which is frankly ridiculous. Show up. Discuss. Voice suspicions. Present another option for the lynch besides a couple poke votes on an inactive.
  10. Okay. So I found the Omen last night. It's a wee bit hypocritical I'm aware, but I have no plans to stop exploring. (For Reasons. ) It was the book written in an unknown script and bound in strange leather; I've tried to logic out the likely Eliminator role gained, but I didn't really get anywhere conclusive. (Thought process spoilered below if you want it.) Edit. Spoilers are broken and I can't get them fixed. >> Spoiler contains my thoughts on Omen analysis as well as my current suspicions.
  11. Aon paced absently through the halls, chewing on a piece of bread as she considered her next move. Last night the House had lead her to food, but since then, it's Voice had been frustratingly silent. Still considering what this silence could mean, she stepped around a corner and immediately cracked heads with one of the other explorers. "Ow." The woman -Khaos, Aon thought her name was- looked briefly dazed, then suddenly shoved half a broken pen into her hands. "Here. This is for you." She turned and left, without a word. Aon stared after at the retreating woman in confusion. That was... strange. Inspecting the pen, she could find nothing special about it. Well, I have a writing utensil, I might was well use it. Taking down one of the House's innumerable faded paintings, she tore out a strip of canvas for note paper. Before she'd even begun to write, the pen started to buck and twist in her hand. Startled, she dropped it, and it scrawled words across the floor of its own accord. Empty-headed animal food trough wiper! She blinked a few times. What? She bent down and snatched the pen up again. ...Is it... insulting me? Aon closed her eyes, concentrating. The pen buzzed lightly against her senses. It felt almost like Biochroma... and almost exactly like the Voice of the House, many times smaller. Holding it, she could just feel it thrumming in time with some larger beat, subtly outside her awareness. She smiled, tasting now familiar copper in her mouth. No, not insulting, guiding. Time to take a trip to the stables. Now that that's out of the way, (I'll try to post some more up-to-date RP sometime soon); OOC thoughts. I'll also chime in to agree that Stink's killing was likely a Village kill; moreover, it's likely someone who believed his neutral claim. (Despite the fact that Wyrm explicitly stated that all players would start as Explorers early in the game.) @Wonko the SaneIf people want me to, I'll change back, but my avatar's the same, my sig has my name in it and my character name is similar to my usual usename, so I at least shouldn't be hard to figure out. On Exploring: I agree we should tone it down. While I won't say people shouldn't Explore, we don't know how Wyrm's balanced the game, and if we keep gaining Traitors at this rate things will be bad. As for who I'm suspicious of... I'm not sure yet. Part of the problem with playing these games inconsistently is that I'm really not sure what is and isn't in character for all the player. There have been things said that have raised a few eyebrows, but nothing that's stood out enough for me to record it. I'm hoping to have formed some more solid suspicions before the end of the day, but we'll see.
  12. While Wyrm seems determined to be unhelpful, it's heavily implied in the rules that Omens can grant things beyond vanilla Eliminator. Which is why I want Bugsy to reveal the exact text he got with the Omen, and I want the other finder to come forward, as it should hint at their additional powers if any. @ArinianPAFO means Play And Find Out. (Derived from Robert Jordan's Read And Find Out, a phrase Brandon inherited when he finished the series.)
  13. Okay. So, like the writeup said, I found some bread. Which is utterly useless in every way shape and form, but good for RP, I guess. Whoever found Omens should reveal it, as well as any additional info they gained from it; we need to know what we're up against.
  14. Aon Deag held back as the group of curious neighbors and prospective buyers wandered through the House. Thud. She shivered, eyes unfocusing. There it was. What had drawn her to this place. That steady, deep thrum, like the heartbeat of some sleeping beast. It was clearer here than elsewhere in the city; even between beats there was a subtle tension. It made the hair on the back of her neck stand up; menacing and alluring all at once. Thud. Thud. It washed over her again. Power. It was here, and unlike anything she had ever felt. And she wanted it. There was a pause in the beats. Her mind cleared. The group was getting away from her. Hoping not to look suspicious, she picked up her pace, trying to catch up. The last buyer followed Kasther around a corner. THUD. She staggered and nearly fell, leaning against the wall. As soon as her vision stopped swimming she broke into a run for the end of the hall, turned to the right- and ran into a wall. Colours. So much magic... this whole House must be almost alive. THUDTHUD. Aon's vision wavered, then failed. She slumped against the wall, tasting blood in her mouth. When she awoke, she was sitting in front of a door. She rubbed her eyes, groaning as she stretched sore muscles. Click. The doorframe rattled, and Aon scuttled backwards. A soft voice could be heard on the far side. "...door's locked itself again." Conversations broke out in the other room, too faint to hear. A door opened and shut somewhere nearby. Thud-thud. Thud-thud. Aon tasted blood again, but stayed steady. The tone of the House had changed. It was no longer a sleeping, quiet menace. It was... eager. Awake. She turned away from the door, listening. Thud-thud. Thud-THUD. She smiled, absently wiping away the blood dripping down her face. Awake... and aware. Waiting. She wouldn't keep it waiting long. Aon is utterly batcrap insane, if that isn't clear. I have no particular thoughts on how we go about the game from here, in regards to lynches and inactives and such. Any plan we make will likely be overturned by tonight's events, so I am content to wait.
  15. Has anyone else noticed that Netflix gets weirdly specific and trollish when you scroll down towards the bottom of the browsing screen? Not only was there the very oddly focused "Feel Good British Talking Animal Animated TV Shows," listing but there was a listing for Horror that contained nothing but chick flicks. O.o

  16. Meh. I could, but I. Don't. Care. At this point, I'm perfectly happy accepting death and defeat. If you want to promise to help me out, send lots of PMs at night to make my win feasible, I might consider it. Otherwise no.
  17. Well, now I'm well and truly useless, aren't I? No point scanning for monarchists now they can't win. Even if they could I'll admit that I was robbed last night, and now couldn't scan even if I wanted to, and have no money with which to do anything. So see ya. There's not a lot of point in me following the game now that there's literally no way for me to win. If someone wants to be real nice and PM me a few times tonight, or donate me some money, I'll help you out in the ways I can, but otherwise, bye.
  18. ...Not really? I'm not sure what their wages are like, but if they can send 4 messages for ten each, or one for thirty, they math there is easy. Yes, I did. No one pmed me with requests last night, so I won't reveal faction, but Seonid is *not* a Monarchist.
  19. @Clanky @Paranoid King No offence, but storm off. Unlike Nyali, I would like to try to play this game, even if I'm an independent who's goals have nothing to do with anyone else. (Except Nyali, apparently.) So I'd rather you didn't kill me just to make things ever so slightly more convenient for yourselves. I'll vote for who you want me to, scan who you want me to (if you're willing to help me out [my scan can detect monarchists, FYI]) but I'd much prefer I not get killed, so I might have a chance of achieving my wincon.
