Really, what you want is an Aluminum Gnat. Burns all reserves away, including the Aluminum (according to the Coppermind), and the sword looks right. Even the Savantism doesn't look too problematic.

What benefit does an aluminum savant get? Yes, I know this would normally never happen because aluminum burns itself up. Suppose a mad scientist with a willing Mistborn test subject shoved a feeding tube down the Mistborn's throat to pump in a continuous stream of aluminum, replenishing it steadily so there's always a new unburned supply. Add another tube to pump out excess water if necessary. What would he discover? Alternatively, what would Sazed with his Shard-granted knowledge know?

Ha, that IS a little silly of a method. However, on the extreme end of aluminum, I have in the notes the possibility of cleansing the spirit of unwanted effects of other Investitures. You'd get really good at this, and maybe even be able to cleanse the body of other impurities.
Whoops. @PanLin already suggested Aluminum but not in detail.
If I had a nickel for every time this WoB came up in conversation... I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's strange that it's happened twice.

That actually makes a ton of sense. Though I've never thought of it before, it does definitely fit (although a carapace-covered Cumberbatch is a sight I never thought I'd see). These are both great ideas!
This might be a bit of a stretch, but maybe Sigzil? Then again, there are probably better Sigzils out there. I've also seen him occasionally cast as Ruin, which would be cool.
I have always seen him as somebody who knows more than everybody else (probably bc of the two roles you mentioned, though). I would love to see him play TLR, Ruin, or even leras, though that is a very, very small role. Maybe he could play Rayse?

Can i say anything here??
i’m going to because i dont want to make a whole post about this bc ifs not that interesting
anyway im rereading stormlight (actually listening to audiobooks this time) and bc im also writing an oc canon compliant fanfiction, i am picking up on really weird little details as it pertains to my writing
so in WoK both kaladin and dalinar specifically refer to grapes in their narration and thoughts (Dalidoo even threatens to smash Elhokar like a grape) — implying they know what a grape is but in RoW Adolin refers to grapes as a strange little fruit the Shin use to make wine and does not name it
that’s all
bow wow meow

I think any kinetic investiture would make it float, (which lashing are) while innate investiture wouldn't.
A dawnshard probably would, but aluminum should be able to as well.
Put it in nearby the well of control?
is the worm juice kinetic then? also, if starling tried to use her powers, would the bands suppressing them make her float?

As is tradition.
I don’t believe that would work. Lashing it would require investing the rock, which would make the rock float. Also, I suspect the Dawnshard would also have the rock float, even if it’s covered by aluminum.
But would Lashing it make it float?
IotE spoilers
SpoilerStarling thinks that she would fall until dragons came and rescued her and she is HEAVILY invested. I think the only things that would float would be things like the dawnshard (maybe) that come from a shard or sharpool. so I don't think so about the lashing, and yes to the rock. But the aluminum might suffice... We need like an arcanist in here

Fav Pokemon: zeraora.
least fave: Snorlax, because of the red&blue encounter where he uses rest for a solid 5 minutes (guys I'm not that old I just play old games)
Hot take: quaxly sucks. He's just a cuter form of ducklett. and there is WAY to many duck pokemon
Other hot take: Stunfisk is a cool Pokemon. (the first deck I made when I was little had him in it so... nostalgia)

In one of Dalinar's flashbacks in OB, he goes out into the highstorm looking for his knife. He sees something with glowing legs. Does anyone know what he saw?
Just reread WaT and Venli encounters some and calls them (funnily enough) stormstriders

Kind of a question, knind of a theory.
So we know there's a kinda ethereal film at the edge of a shard-weapon that makes it cut through anything and everything very easily, except for aluminum. because of this, characters in the cosmere end up making insanely impractical shardblades that look cool, just because they can. unfortunately, since aluminum stops the magic-y part of a Shardblade, it's annoying for one to cut through even a half inch of aluminum. My question: are they just not sharp enough? could the spren form into an extremely sharp shardblade that could cut through at least an inch or so of aluminum (which is an extremely weak metal).

I am really sorry as I do not have my copy on me at this time, but when the crew is talking about scadrian colonization, Ed says something to the effect of "the shards that back the scadrians." Is this a typo? or a lore-y thing?

TLDR: Jasnah bears a greater resemblance to Meridas Amaram than she does to anything resembling a hero, and her father was wise trying to pair them.
Ever since WaT I have been forced to reevaluate my opinions of Jasnah. She went from being pragmatic with a hard edge to one of the most morally repugnant characters in the Stormlight Archive, and comparing her to a hero is inarguably laughable.
Given how little we have seen PoVs from her I intend to base this off of a few key moments to highlight Jasnah's sickening lack of morality.
Going in mostly chronological order the first thing that comes to mind was hiring an assassin to kill Aesudan. Early on this was played for mystery and suspense, but the reveal in WaT that Jasnah was just scared of her own sister-in-law really speaks volumes. When it comes to inconvenient people, even those in her own family, Jasnah's answer is murder. Not speaking to them, not patience, not understanding and compromise, murder.
Some might bring up Jasnah killing the footpads in WoK next, but I actually have no problems with that. What I actually wanted to look at was Jasnah's interactions with Renarin in OB. When she found out that Renarin had predicted the Everstorm Jasnah begins to watch him. Unto itself, that isn't too unusual or noteworthy, and honestly, some of the others should have done the same. However, when she confirmed that Renarin was bonded to a corrupted spren Jasnah's first response was to try and kill him. We can confirm this as we have Renarin's PoV from this encounter, Jasnah hadn't even spoken to him about this earlier.
I don't think Brandon took the time in the book to go over just how evil that actually is. She didn't ask Renarin for an explanation, didn't ask if he was hurt or in danger, nothing. For her it was as simple as: Renarin has a corrupted spren, therefore I should kill him. If Renarin hadn't looked at her at that moment I fully believe that she would have done it, which Renarin's visions confirm.
The final straw, and what finally got me to realize this pattern was the debate in WaT, when we found out the truth about Aesudan as well as Jasnah's plans to assassinate Fen as well as other coalition leaders. This was the ultimate confirmation to me, Jasnah doesn't have friends, merely useful tools. She doesn't believe in allies, just people who have the same enemies. Well is she labeled a heretic because to her nothing is sacred, and nothing is off limits.
Many have compared Jasnah to Taravangian, including myself. However, lately I have come to disagree. Taravangian cares about the people around him. He has friends and allies that he takes care of even to the point of creating a massive weakness for himself to do so. Jasnah on the other hand only cares for herself and her goals. She might care about her family, but to her they are replaceable, something that can be thrown aside if they become inconvenient. She is far closer to Meridas Amaram, and Moash. Jasnah is easily one of the most morally reprehensible characters in the Stormlight Archive and I hope she gets brought to Justice.
um
but
she gets sad?
