There is a right and a wrong answer to this question: Sylladin?

Just now, Through The Living Grub said:
I don't fully understand what you're saying. Are you asking if there is a misting for every unique alloy of all metals and all alloys for God Metals? Because I don't think so. Leras (Preservation) changed the Allomantic table to allow for Atium and Malamantium Mistings for his plan. A-Atium was diluted Atium (pure Atium could be used my anyone), and pure God Metals can be used by anyone. There are 16 types of mistings and 16 types of ferrings, and that is what the system allows for. I guess Preservation could add some, but right now there are a limited number.
WoBs:
little wilson (paraphrased)
I saw Brandon at a book signing back in mid-December, and I asked him about the 16 percent deal. He said that Preservation replaced the real External Temporal Metals with atium and malatium (at least I'm assuming malatium, but he didn't mention that specifically. He only said atium). So not-cerrobend and cadmium weren't counted in the 16%. nicrosil and chromium, on the other hand, were. So there are chromium andnicrosil Mistings running around, not knowing that they're Mistings.
Xais56
Brandon has said that everyone ought to be able to burn atium, like they can all burn lerasium, and the fact that they can't was an oversight on his part that he would've done different in hindsight.
Maybe now he's had an in-universe reason to re-write the laws of Allomancy it's back to his intended concept; Mistborn burn all 16 base metals, Mistings burn one base metal, non-Allomancers can only burn godmetal.
Peter Ahlstrom
My explanation for this is that Preservation somehow caused all naturally occurring atium to form as an alloy of atium and electrum. The atium Mistings were actually electrum Mistings.
Xais56
It's a very tidy solution, but it creates the maddening question of what does pure atium do?
Peter Ahlstrom
That answer has already been revealed canonically. RAFO.
yeah basically. thx!

So, there was a thread like 2 years back about the amount of metals and God Metal alloys. the number came out to be (I think) some ridiculous number. does that mean that every scadrain (with lerasium blood) is a metalborn of some sort? bc there is so many different possibilities?

When Odium clashed with Mercy and Ambition, the fallout trashed the Threnody system, destroying entire planets. When Honor attacked Odium, the resulting blast wave obliterated Stormseat and created the Shattered Plains, and both Shards agreed they would destroy the whole planet if the clash continued. Clearly, when two Shards clash, cataclysmic destruction ensues in the Physical Realm.
That is, except for Vin's duel against Ati. Vin and Ati repeatedly attacked each other, even bashing so hard and so long that both Vessels died. Based on precedent elsewhere, Scadrial should have been obliterated, along with the rest of the Scadrian System. Yet Scadrial was unharmed by the confrontation (granted Scadrial was far from "fine" at the moment, but that wasn't due to the Shards clashing).
Why was this event different? Is it because Preservation's power somehow contained the fallout and prevented it from hitting the planet as part of its Intent to preserve?
Was it different? didn't the world heat up more, ash flying everywhere, etc? IK that was bc of ruin mostly, but I wonder if the whole "shards dueling" thing exacerbated it?

So Brandon said this:
SpoilerPodman36
You said before that if a human ate an Aviar worm, it would not doing anything, right? Someone's tried that? What would happen if a baby...?
Brandon Sanderson
Still wouldn't work. The gut flora is too different. And they're not part of the symbiotic life cycle there. That system has evolved to the symbiosis that it has, and humans are too new to trying to make that work.
Humans are not new on the planet, but they are not part of that system.
Podman36
Could they be trained into it?
Brandon Sanderson
Training wouldn't work
Podman36
Not like training, but through generations.
Brandon Sanderson
Through generations, that would be theoretically possible.
Was this an accident? a revision? what happened? If he didn't want to spoil anything, why didn't he just RAFO it?
Is it maybe because of the bond that Dusk can gain a power?

Forgive me if I am rehashing an old theory.
Renairin is bonded to an Enlightened mistspren. Mistspren bonds create the order of Truthwatchers, with access to Illumination and Progession. Renairin has limited use of Illumination but no unusual restrictions with Progression due to Glys being corrupted.
My theory is that Glys's corruption to Odium has changed Renairin's use of Illumination is limited in the traditional sense because that surge has been corrupted to Voidbinding. His visions of the future are personal Lightweavings that depict cryptic scenes of the future. It is important to note that old Truthwatchers seem to have limited foresight capabilities, perhaps as a Resonance.
Why is Illumination replaced with Voidbinding? Well, mistspren lean more towards Cultivation than Honor, which may affect what surge is replaced. If a Cryptic was corrupted and formed a bond, maybe Lightweaving would work normally for them and Soulcasting was somehow changed.
Thoughts?
Makes sense to me. the only thing I would say is that when Iyatil uses transportation, it works normally, and that is, by your logic, probably the "minor" elsecaller surge (if Illumination is the minor truth watcher surge and the major lightweaver surge, then Transformation is the minor lightweaver one and the major for the elsecaller, and transportation becomes the minor). They end up going to the cognitive normally. It makes sense for Mraize's enlightened cryptic though, as he can create illusions normally, which is the major for lightweavers.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I just had another idea - what if he were Frost or Xisis? He's played a dragon before, after all (Smaug). Problem is we don't know a huge amount about either of them, but if he was one of them I'd lean toward maybe Frost because he seems more awesome.
I haven't read Isles of the Emberdark, by the way, so I'm not aware of any appearances that dragons make in that.
I would lean towards frost heavily if he were to play a dragon, because of the descriptions of their characters.
This spoiler is only the description of the human forms of the two, from IotE and The Traveler, a (I beleive) noncanon short story about hoid interacting with frost on Yolen, slightly after the killing of ati and leras and the end of era 1
SpoilerFrost is described as a pale skinned man with a silver beard. Xixis is described as a dark skinned man who often wears his head bald.
They could totally change the characters for the movies, I know I wouldn't care much if they were different from the description, but there might be people that do care, including Sanderson himself, who I think has final say over everything of his that Apple makes.

Okay, question for everyone. If you had to wear an aluminum hat, what kind of hat would you wear.
I would make Marie Antoinette's boat hair out of aluminum foil.
Probably the paper mache Majoras Mask I made like 2 years ago but with an aluminum cap part and lined internally with aluminum
or grunkle stan's fez

So there's this article: Mutant Wolves of Chernobyl Evolve to Survive Cancer
And cancer sucks so naturally scientists are looking to how this can help humans. But the line,
- "The biologists are working with other cancer experts to see if these particular mutations could have therapeutic uses for humans."
immediately made my brain say, "No one expected the werewolf apocalypse. We cured cancer....but we created carnivores."
And so now I need a movie where instead of zombies, it's werewolves.
what the heck
sorry
