    Okay so

    In my current campaign, we were in the middle of some really thick woods, wandering around and being idiots because we kept failing perception checks (background: my DM loves being annoying). Another player and I were looking for food, and we stumbled upon a 'mutated, red skull-looking, creepy-ah deer.' 

    The deer went first in initiative (because 'everything's a predator in these woods') and cast mirror image. We proceeded to attack and killed the deer while it was casting the spell. we started to cut up a carcass, but it disappeared. We figured that was normal, bc mirror image, yada yada yada. We tried to cut the next one, and it did too. Then we tried to cut the third, and it disappeared as well.

    Then, very helpfully, our DM said, 'The deer ran away on its first turn; the things you were fighting were clones.'

    you have to add investiture though, which I think is more valuable than water, and makes it less than infinite. also if you want to post again people that care would tell you to edit your old post, but I'm not one of those people.

    if they can simulate touch as well, (Shallan's army in OB) and taste is kind of just a subset of touch, couldn't a lightweaver give you popcorn that you eat, but disappears as it enters your stomach? (INFINITE BINGE SNACKING???)

    When I read the chapters with nightblood at the end of WaT, I got the impression that the Surges could be used without stormlight as fuel, as long as nightblood held back their thirst.

    nitpicking got there first, but nightblood was satiated only upon the (relatively) minimal investiture found within the vessel (Rayse), not Odium it's self.
