  1. Five and a half months of agony.
  2. Can I put forth a crime TV show? If I can, then NCIS all the way. You know what? I take it back. Clue is the best crime/mystery show of all time. Anyways, what's your favorite shade of blue?
  3. Scratch that, now I'm a human Terminator. you have no idea how long i've been waiting to post that
  4. Philosophical debate. Elend is one of my favorite characters, philosophy is fascinating, and I feel like I'd actually gain something from it as opposed to just being insulted the entire time. Would you rather join the Idrian monks or the Vorin ardentia?
  5. I am typing this without using the index finger on my dominant hand, as it is currently decorated by not one, not two, but three bandaids. There's also one on my thumb. Stupid cat.
  6. I saw the ISS! I don't remember if I've mentioned it before or not, but I signed up to get text alerts from NASA every time the International Space Station passes overhead (link here, if anyone's interested). This is only the second time I've seen it, even with billions of alerts: usually it flies over ridiculously early in the morning, or it's cloudy, or I forget. It's so cool, though, to see that bright, speeding little dot and realize that it's a spaceship with actual people living on it orbiting the Earth right now.
  7. I'm normally not one to say "before it was cool", but...

I had a playlist called Awesome Mix before it was cool. :P

Well, it's actually called Awesome Songs, but the titles're similar enough that I thought it amusing.

  8. So we have a neighbor who's selling homemade soap. Recently she's started like a clearance sale thing, so we went over and bought some. Now, my mom's favorite scents are the more traditional ones: peppermint, lavender, etc. Mine? Man Soap. Yes, you heard right. It's called Man Soap. It's teakwood and fir, and it smells marvelous.
  9. Phineas and Ferb. I just... I don't know, man. I really loved that show. It was so perfectly weird. What's your favorite... shade of green?
  10. Sugar-free Slurpees (or equivalent) are great for sore throats. Just sayin'.

  11. Good on ya.
  12. Rrrrgh Fast Sunday. On the bright side, only one and a half hours until I can down 2 liters of Dr. Pepper.
  13. Re: the whole movies in class thing: I've had teachers who used them as a teaching aid before, and it works pretty well whilst keeping the class engaged. Also, I had two classes (Mythology and Astronomy) show A New Hope the last day before Christmas break, as Ep. 7 was coming out a week later. And I had that one class where literally all we did was read and sometimes watch movies.
  14. Collective Soul! Which, I'm sure, comes as a surprise to nobody. But I'll never waste a chance to plug my favorite band. Who's your favorite composer?
  15. I'm not, like, crying over how gorgeous Teslas are or anything.

    Nope. Nothing to see here.

      TwiLyghtSansSparkles

Fun fact: At first I thought you said "Texas," and I was like "Wait--are? You mean there's more than one? Or are you crying over the beauty of Texans?"

      Heh heh.

Whats a Tesla, by the way?

A really, really shiny electric car.

Ahhh. I thought that's what you meant, but I didn't know if there was some other meaning. :P

  16. [insert obligatory Samwise Gamgee joke here] Jokes aside, my answer is mashed. With about ten pounds of butter, cream, and cream cheese. What's your favorite "classic" book?
  17. We expect pics if/when you get one, you know.
  18. Kitten! What kind, gender?
  19. I hit 30K words on my novel! I know I said elsewhere I'd hit 30K, but it turns out that it was actually 29K. And as I said then, It's not quite as impressive when you realize I've been working on it on and off for almost two years.
  20. Thank heavens God made endorphins, because gak that rock was heavy.

Why were you carrying a rock?

I wasn't carrying it, I was wielding a prybar helping my dad drag it on a cart, and it took an hour anyways. :P

What it was is a stone trough, maybe 2x3 feet, cut directly from a single stone. It's gonna be basically yard decoration.

Seriously, half a ton in this case was almost not an exaggeration.

  21. I know there's a really, really old book called the Song of Roland, but I don't know if that's what you're looking for, as I haven't read it myself. But that does sound like really cool scene.
  22. !!! Am looking up now.
  23. Highstorm on Roshar. I'd just camp in Shinovar, where it's a light rain -- you never said I had to be in the Shattered Plains. Would you rather get in a drinking contest with Rock, or a Coinshot race with Wax?
  24. Was prepared to post this in the Bad Day thread, but it actually turned out all right, so...

    I got a haircut!

No, you don't get pictures. :P
