Ebonaryle, Alleys, Belias’ Domain Ebon shrugged. ”Just for now. A kid could be useful for infiltration… neither of us are particularly unassuming. Until we find something better to do with him. And if he steps out of line… you can deal with him.” Limel, New Hallandren, New Hallandren Garrison ”What information did you gather while you were helping those affected?” Limel burst through the interrogation rooms, the suddenly felt self-conscious as everyone turned to look at him. Sheepishly, he carefully closed the entry behind him, and walked over to a seat next to Midas, having to catch his binder falling on the way. The entire room waited silently throughout his entire process, and he felt his cheeks turn red. But he had to do this. So he sat down next to Midas, pulled out a pile of crumpled note paper and a pen, and stood at the ready. When nothing happened, he tried to give the witnesses a confident nod. It came out doubtful, and Limel looked down again. Waiting for answers. Ebonaryle, Alleys, Belias’ Domain Ebon looked back at the figure cowering on the floor. “Yes, I did. No, and I don’t care to know. No, I have not. And I’m the only person standing between you and death, so tell me.” Ebon raised his dagger, still coated in his own blood and that of the constables, and pointed it at the boy’s chest. “What’s your name, and can you obey?”

By the way PUBLIC REMINDER IN CASE THERE WAS ANY CONFUSION The final verdict on the elim wincon debate that was eventually taken up with Araris C1 was the following: The elim wincon remains the same as it was posted in the signups thread. That means, and I quote: "You win when you outnumber the living Singers."- 621 replies

QF78: Hearts of Riches, Rhythms of Hatred [signups]
Hoid Slayer replied to Hoid Slayer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
The third day of the resistance's fall unwound smoothly. The plaza fire, though contained, had kept much of them quiet, and the threat of a Shardbearer roaming around dissuaded much grabbing of attention. Plus, today, Bitel's attention had been elsewhere; the day had seen the sudden arrival of a mass of pilgrims from the nearby town of Hearthstone. Big things were brewing in Revolar, and Bitel was at their heart. And then there was the matter of the highstorm. Even know, in the last gleams of the day's light, Bitel could see it approaching. He could begin to hear it. The warnings had been sent out to the Singers, and most were already in hiding. Not Bitel. No, he loved the storm. The pain freed him, and over his many lives, he had learned to ride it. To him, it was like a friend. To the others... it was a beast. ... Dahran knew the storm was coming, and he wanted nothing more than to be huddled in his new quarters - the opulent manor that had belonged to his past owners. No, that wasn't right. He wanted nothing more than to leave. Nothing more than to put Revolar behind him, and find his own path, far away from humans and war and the damned Fused that watched every little move they made. But Dahran's cohorts had other plans. These last days had desensitised them to death. Not only that, it had made them thirsty for it. He could see it, because he had fallen into it himself. It was only a curse when it was turned on him. But there was no more time to think. The wolves, the beasts that had been his brothers, turned on him now with fangs of steel. They marched him out of the town's outskirts, as shadows filled the air so the Fused would not see. They thought they could hide from their overlords, thought they were getting the upper hand. Dahran could imagine some of their smiles, so satisfied in their ingenuity, so happy to kill a traitor. But in the dark, he could not see their smiles, and he was no traitor. Maybe Dahran should have fought, but he was no fighter. He didn't know when the others left him... but he knew they would block any attempt to return to shelter. So Dahran walked as he waited. Until at last, the storm arrived; he heard it first, from a tremble to a growl to an all-consuming roar. As the greatest beast of all bore down on him, Dahran took a final breath - and let the storm erase everything away. ... In the storm, Bitel was thrown in every direction, flapped around, struck again and again with pieces of flying debris. Every now and then, he lashed himself to regain control, but rarely. He liked feeling powerless. He had seen the Singers walk the innocent out. And he hadn't acted. Not tonight. Because tonight, he, himself, was hidng. The voidlight waste of this endeavor - the amount required to heal his wounds as they formed - was great, and so he had had to sneak away to be here. It was his guilty pleasure - and he regretted none of it. Because, if only for a second, the storm was able to erase his pain. It erased his past, his guilt, his worries. It erased his sins. It erased everything. ... Mippo has been executed! They were a Willful Listener. ... Final VC: Qianweilian (1): TOW Mippo (4): Stick, Doc, Jo, Coco TUM (1): Wahr Iced (2): Quian, Iced ... Ebonaryle, Alleys, Belias’ Domain “Are you going soft on me, Ebon?” Ebon paused. Was that what mercy was? Softness? On Roshar, Ebon had never known mercy. On Roshar, he had been the villain. Yet Ebon knew everything Perses said was right. ”Look at him,” he gestured, more hopeful performance than anything. “Perses, he’s just a kid.” An idea popped into Ebon’s head. “What if… we take him with us?” Limel, New Hallandren, New Hallandren Garrison Limel was already racing down the garrison corridors as Midas arrived with the witnesses. Papers flew in his wake, and his coat waved behind him as he took a turn after another, startling resting workers. He clutched his binder to his chest, carrying all the information he had. Limel’s attention was first caught, naturally, by the explosion. But when the first witnesses began to pile in, he had begun to listen. A crater. Radiants. And a Fused. Could he be the one? Limel didn’t know. But as he raced down the garrison corridors. Limel was intent on finding out.

QF78: Hearts of Riches, Rhythms of Hatred [signups]
Hoid Slayer replied to Hoid Slayer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Chaos. And this time, Bitel smiled. Yes, Narash and o - the one who's true name was Bobb, yet who's fear crippled him even from saying it (truly, Bitel should've caught on to the signs earlier) - had failed, but what remained of their scheme was at last beginning to flow smoothly. From his vantage point among the stars, far higher than where the innocent resistors would ever think to look, Bitel could see it all. Tonight, once again, the Singers of Revolar screamed in the streets - but this time, their voices were fewer, and their minds blinded. Oh, how glorious the ruin was. ... Fernri walked to their death with resignation. There was no struggle. No final fight. They had seen what had happened to Narash, and decided it was best to end it quickly. They had chosen to die in the plaza, where all could see. A symbol, perhaps, for all to see. Or maybe just an attempt to be seen. There, they had tied there own rope, and waited for the sun to fall. Fernri thought they had been sure in their choice. And yet, as the crowd swirled around the plaza, their screams for blood sounding ever more like the howls of a hungry beast, Fernri's heart thumped. Blood raced through their veins. Their life flashed before their eyes. Oh, how little they had truly lived- And little they would live, for their death was a quick one. When it was over, the Listener's body was left to hang where all could see - a symbol of nothing but death, and doom. ... Taxill didn't have much personality. It was true, and they were happy to admit it. The forges of Revolar had trained a worker, and while Taxill was no longer a slave, they had no great dreams, no defining feature. Perhaps the very epitomy of normalcy. And yet Taxill still wanted to live. They resisted, because they felt an innate feeling that it was right - and they had a strong will. That was another thing the forges had taught. Taxill didn't know how to feel about Fernri's execution. It was not their choice - yet they were powerless to stop it, and at the very least, it happened quickly. It was what came after that mattered. As the crowd was beginning to dissipate, an explosion rocked the plaza where Fernri's body hung. When Taxill awoke to their senses, in a pool of blood and ash, they were barely able to catch a glimpse of their attacker before falling dead. The second innocent to die tonight. ... The Omniscient Overlord of Everything was also rocked by the explosion, and as they recovered, also found themselves targeted by an unseen assailant, and yet, in their Mightyness, somehow survived. ... Revolar's plaza burned as Bitel descended. Tonight, he had a smile on his face, and as he reached the ground, a screeching sound began to fill the square. Haunting, it reverberated off the building walls, rustled the ashes. It was a laugh. Yes, perhaps this would be fun after all. ... Honor's Ghost has been executed! They were a Listener Spren. TJ has been murdered! They were a Willful Listener. Stick was attacked, but survived! ... Final VC: Penguin (1): TOW TOW (1): Penguin TUM (2): Wahr, Jo Mippo (1): TJ Honor’s Ghost (8): Stick, Doc, Qian, mippo, TUM, coco, Honor’s Ghost ... Things to Note: PMs are open! I’m good with that Yk, I was just thinking how it’s kinda funny we could also name this episode “Troubles in New Hallandren”… Also where do y’all wanna take the story from here? I am somewhat regretting not leaving some hint about the Crimson Breath’s plots for Ebon to follow I know Steel Speedster is up to something with that crime meeting thing, would you mind giving us some more info (and maybe letting us crash it )

Ebonaryle, Alleys, Belias' Domain Ebon hesitated, unsure of what to do. Then the boy suddenly reeled backwards, falling down and staring somewhere past Ebon, past Perses, a crazed look in his eyes. That was enough for Ebon. In the past, he had been a killer. He had hated the Radiants, and destroyed everything and everyone that got in his way. And in this last year, he had also killed. But... but he was trying to do better. He did not know what better was. But he would not stand by and watch as an innocent child was killed, Radiant or not. Not anymore. And so once again Ebon stepped between Perses and Lux, this time with purpose. "No." His conviction, the Rhythm of Command, shocked him. And though he felt fear, he did not waver. "The boy is innocent. There must be some way to keep his silence." Ebon turned to the young radiant, hoping for some cooperation.
