  1. Hello Stick I too know nothing about what is going on Think I’m gonna repeal my vote on Archer for now Here’s the thing: I don’t trust my judgement in voting, and I won’t trust myself to vote until I actually catch up with this game which I don’t plan on doing BUT I don’t trust anyone else’s judgement to vote, either More than I do my own, yes, but still not much So I’mma monitor the situation around rollover and potentially instigate some chaos
  2. Yeah I really think that the way this game works, there isn't really any solid way to clear anyone if the elims play this right Due to the lack of info every exe gives us, my logical mind almost wants to go ahead and just exe players on something arbitrary but clear - where elims won't be able to sneak in any members But that definitely would not be fun for an entire loop, so I'm not quite sure how to approach this
  3. Agree with Mistfallen on dead doc security I really don’t think we can get that much info transferred in a code, unless y’all wanna start talking like hwys leve kwudjew? which is gonna get annoying real quick, and hinges entirely on us not getting any elims which like is what we want to do I have 1% battery and don’t really know how to explain myself but yeah
  4. Okay so guys I haven't read through most of the game so far but instinct thoughts I don't like how much Archer talks about what he would do as elim, or what he would suggest the elims do It just... feels off. I don't know. I don't see a reason for an elim to do it, but at the same time, I don't get why he's telling the elims how he was going to analyze them after a single cycle of them not doing what he was hoping for I mean... I guess I can understand it I'm not sure, and I'm not willing to stake a vote on it quite yet cause it is quite trivial, but it's there Also Archer yeah I have no real intention to gun for post count in this game, as I've stated before, this isn't receiving my full attention
  5. Avery watched Heroshi go and subtly hid his face in shadow as his cousin passed. He didn’t want to spoil the surprise. Since the salesman in front of him was clearly deaf or somethin’ and wouldn’t answer him, Avery decided to follow his cousin. He had, after all, nothing better to do. He slinked after Heroshi through the town, putting some paraders between them, until he watched his cousin don a weird green outfit. It looked… juvenile. Avery wrinkled his nose. Oh, what had this side of his family come to?
  6. Hello good folk

I need reviews on the following short story (names edited for privacy):

All we are is choices. They define us, a series of infinitely small steps, each taking us in a new direction. Yet, each a perfect product of all that came before, are they truly ours to make? Or just to walk? It’s simple cause and effect. Cause and effect makes sense, right? But right now, reality begs to differ, because there is a door in my room. It is open, and it was not there before.

It sits next to my usual one, and looks the same, too. It cannot be; yet, it is.

I stride to the door, and step through. Nothing big happens. It leads straight into our corridor, right where the other door goes. I sneak a glance. It’s still there. Closed. Then I look at what awaits before me, and walk.

Now I hear voices. Sounds like… Mark. Mark, and my sister, and is that… Alice? Yes, she’s there, and someone else. Carefully, painfully aware of the sharp feel of my bare feet on the cold floor, I turn the corner. My sister is getting tackled, but she’s giggling. She yells something at me, probably to get Mark off, but I don’t hear her. Because my heart has stopped.

She is there. Sitting on the couch, she looks up and sees me. Her eyes meet mine, a perfect glint as the light catches them just right. Just like it did that night. When I stood by, and watched her slip away.

“Where’s the thing?” I don’t respond, still stuck. She’s confused. “The… thing you went to get?” At last, I answer. My voice cracks.

    “Give me a second.”

I turn around, and hurry back the way I came. As soon as I walk back through the door, I close it, and breathe. The hell? This can’t be a dream; no, the beat of my heart is too real. As I pace, reeling, the sound of a person coming in causes me to jump - and again, I freeze as I see who it is. It’s me. Me, but his hair is shorter, he’s wearing a plain t-shirt. He came in through the weird door - I hadn’t noticed this room had one too - and he, too, freezes when he sees me. He runs a hand through his hair, stops, opens his mouth, and then a knock interrupts him.

“Hoid?” It’s her. She’s there, outside that door. I look at me, and he looks back. Then I stand up, and brush past him on my way out. One last time, we face each other. He nods. I don’t know whether to nod back. As we split, I see him carrying a set of dice in his hand, see him open his door as I step through and close mine, but leave a crack open. Just enough to see her face, see her lips on his. Then the crack closes, and it’s over. Once again, I’m back in my room. There are no more voices.

    Just me.

      Hhmmmmmmm

      hhmmmmmmmmmmm

      i like it

  7. The day ends tonight right? Also can someone explain the exe situation to me?
  8. What would y'all think about a mechanic where, the cycle after a player is exed, the living players get to vote on one free use of their action? So, for example, Coinshot gets exed C1, C2 everybody gets a vote on who to Shoot Votes are public and made alongside exe votes. Thinking of adding this to my worldhopper game, alongside with some other slight changes I'mma make to that ruleset
  9. Alright so can someone summarize to me what y'all have been yapping about for the last three pages
  10. Ahh ok It was past afternoon by the time Avery awoke. He was dimly aware of a cacophony of sounds emanating from beyond the light peeking through his curtains, but he ignored them. What was this place? What was he doing here again? Ahh, right. He was here to visit Heroshi. Of course, Heroshi didn't know that yet, but Avery didn't see the problem. He took a swig of his water and grabbed his bag before he stumbled out of the inn. "Have a good day!" Exclaimed the bartender as he left. Everyone here was so... nice. It was unnatural. As Avery navigated the crowded streets and - he thought with a shudder - the flocks of raucus children (nevermind he was a child himself), his memory began to serve him. The words of the gatekeeper came back to him. There was some sort of Festival of Heroes or other, and he had been told to go talk to... to go... there. Avery stopped before a crowded shop, nestled underneath a tower. He peered in through the windows to see rows and rows of colorful masks lining the walls. He rubbed his eyes, and rung the bell. A man came walking up. "Hello? My name is Avery, and I'm here to be your apprentice." He tried to give the man the biggest smile he could, but was interrupted by a yawn halfway and ended up giving him a weird grimace. @Amanuensis
  11. Oh don’t worry, I plan on going in and staying blind I will try to help the cause as much as I can though For now, starting RP: Avery snored.
  12. Hello people I am village Gonna read the rules tomorrow
  13. Since I wanna have fun and just kinda chill this game on the seriousness, I am going to back Mistfallen on everything
  14. Ebonaryle, Mistwarrens, Random Street Ebon raced through the streets faster this time, restraining himself as much as possible but eager to not waste a second. Eventually, the crowded slums of the Mistwarrens - Perses’ domain - gave way to the packed, higher end streets of the rare abandoned corner of Mistkeep, and the large ornate doors of Wickwillow Manor - Perses’ palace. A crow squawked as Ebon reformed, Lux behind him. There was no one visible in the area but them. Ebon mustered himself, prepared to face a frustrated Perses. He had to remind himself often that despite his power, the Scadrian was still young - and had gone through as much psychological trauma as many Fused in his short years. In a way, Ebon would almost feel bad for the boy, if not for his utter ruthlessness and his power over Ebon’s life. But still, right now, Ebon had no choice. He took a step towards the decorated doors, knocked in the special pattern that indicated it was him, and pushed them open.
  15. Ebonaryle, Mistwarrens, Herborium Lux remained silent the entire time, and Ebon was happy with that silence. Stepping back out into the alley, back into the sounds of the city, he hesitated. He needed to get to the New Hallandren garrison as soon as possible. Yet it was across the city… normally, he would simply Jump there, but with Lux… he looked at the small radiant. He couldn’t leave him. As he watched the boy talk to seemingly nothing, a plan began to form in his head… as he realized a dreadful certainty. Perses wouldn’t like it. No, he wouldn’t like it at all. But it was the only other way to get across the city quickly. So Ebon sighed, made sure one last time Lux was behind him, stabbed his daggers into his sides, and expended his third Jump of the string… setting course for Wickwillow Manor.
