    "Is that the only bloody way you speak?" Sylas says with a playful laugh. "Normally it's quite respectful to introduce yourself before forcing your way into someone's life." His face has a hint of a smile on it, as if in disbelief. "Tell me woman, your name?" The Emperor inquires further, not wanting to be tricked or swindled.

    "Who and where do you supply these weapons from woman?" He inquires. "What causes you to ask such a naivete question may I ask?" The voice , that once sounded as if trying to intimidate, now sounds genuinely curious. "Your kind, don't normally treat me with such care when asking questions."

    "I'll go as far as to sacrifice myself if I have to. These people, the planes, They all mean very much to me. It is my quest to keep them all safe, no matter how annoying they may be." He says emphasizing the last bit with a frown. "What does the Traveler wish to know?" The voice sounds grinding and acidic like a rusty water wheel being pushed by a viscous liquid.

    "I would not be content with that. But as I said, I am unable to control such things without intervention from the Authors. In that fact I believe that I must accept whatever the result, no matter how much it pains me. It means no such thing though that I won't try my hardest to fight against destiny if it wishes to destroy me." Just quoted it thx Sylas walks in. "Seeing as you're not going anywhere." He says in an annoyed way. "We might as well get to know each other. I'll start. My name is Sylas, what about you."

    "Do I now? For a minute I thought that was real. If I am to fail this trial, I wish you to know of the danger that we are in. So that you may be able to help in the cause. If not you, then anyone who is capable of holding a weapon."

    "What do you mean by that? You are the one without army you foul beast." The Emperor spits as he continues fighting. Eventually both warriors grow tired and their wounds burn. "May you be damned for your sins Xal'Badreal!" The Emperor yells, as he throws a swing, but with lightning speed he changes the direction and pierces the beast's chest with a killing blow. But the beast does not yet die. "I already am damned for my sins." Xal'Badreal laughs, choking on his own blood, but still laughing. The Emperor shakes his head with disdain and twists the blade, making an awful screeching sound. But the creature still smiles. "Quit it." The Emperor commands. But the creature looks down at the Emperor's chest. Continued in the spoiler below.

    "May my faith protect me." The Emperor mutters in prayer. Xal'Badreal cocks his head slightly and his lower jaw splits in two and his top half opens wide and he laughs a shrill, blood curdling, shriek. (Think the Xenomorph from Alien). "Your Gods will not help you now. Your Damned soul is mine to take. You have been God forsaken and nobody can help you." Xal'Badreal hisses like a snake. The Emperor grasps the shaft of his bastard sword. "The light of Mox be with me!" The Emperor yells to the skies. Xal'Badreal charges like a beast as the Emperor mutters more prayers. The dead of Xal'Badreal's army begin to rise from the ground as undead. But suddenly, the Emperor rises his sword once again to the heavens. "I ask to you, the Gods of Celestia! Bear me this rite to be the savior of the planes!" From the Heavens, the sky splits, revealing the once hidden, golden sun, shadowed slightly from silhouettes coming from the sky. The once dead armies of the Emperor descend from the Heavens with blades of light. Xal'Badreal almost pauses slightly in shock but continues to charge his armies forward. The battle ensues as eventually The Emperor charges toward Xal'Badreal and the lock into battle with one another. Heavenly steel of the Emperor's Bastard Sword against bladed insect-like limbs of the demon lord. The Emperor gets a few hits in, cutting the beast's armor-like skin. Though Xal'Badreal also gets a few hits in as well. "DIIIIIIEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!" The Beast Screams. The battle around them is evenly matched and it is complete and utter chaos matched with order and justice.

    Sylas shoots the cat a glare. "Fine." He says flatly and continues to walk.

    "Why do this Omen?" The Emperor asks. "If you wish to break me, I will not be broken. Those men who died, lived faithful lives and they will not be punished for it. I will not let them die in vain!" The Emperor holds his blade to the sky as it emits a glorious light. "I have ascended, and none shall break my will!" His voice has changed to an echo of Godly ascension. He thrusts the blade into the ground and a shockwave emits from it. All of the Emperor's enemies get incinerated in flames when they touch the field of power. All that is left is the Emperor and Xal'Badreal. He starts walking towards the temple, expecting the cat to leave. "Get off me, would you!"

    He persuades the fleeing men to return with narration. "You men will not die cowards!"

    "W-wh-Why should I?" He stutters.

    "I-" He goes as if to insult the cat but then stops. "I. I don't know."

    "What do you bloody want?!" He exclaims trying to shake the cat off.

    The Emperor takes one last deep breath closing his eyes. "Fear will not conquer me." He says. "I am fear. Fear to the enemy. The enemy will not prevail." With that, he opens his eyes and holds his sword, Solstice Dawnblade to the sky. "My enemy shall fall!" He yells running to the nearest demon and killing it. He moves onto the next, and then another. "I am The Emperor, and my reign will be one of protection and glory!" "What do you want Scamp" Sylas says with disdain. "You have little respect to be sneaking up on me like that." He starts towards the jungle temple entrance.

    The Emperor clenches his jaw. Finally, he relaxes and gives in. "The Maelstrom. It is a prison realm that I created for the Gods of Maelstrom, not much gods, but Demon lords of pure chaos, madness, and evil." He takes a deep breath to brace himself for the flood of painful memories. "These Demons leave destruction in their wake. They have leveled several planes of existence to little more than dust in the astral sea, just as they decimated my home realm. As this trial goes on, they prepare armies of their own to reign their chaos. The seal on the prison realm wanes, and not even Narration can stop it from doing so. As the seal wanes in power, the Demons' power grows. They are lead by Xal'Badreal, Demon Lord of the Toxic Chasm. He has amassed much power and he has gone extreme lengths to obtain it. As we speak, I believe he is attempting to coax as many Narrators as he can, or people who are close allies with Narrators." He almost collapses to one knee after he speaks this. "Tell me Omen. Will the Dreamsmith be capable of assisting?"
