Yeah not sure where the evil mastermind stereotype came from that sounds like the ideal life to me. Granted, I'm probably speculating about human nature which is ridiculous considering how little I understand most people.
Funny how at this point in the cosmere Wit can be vaporized by a shard and it doesn't even occur to me he might actually be dead I just kept reading to find out how he survived. One of these days Wit will die for real and I'll go into a coma.
Would it be possible the flower is a blossom from Patji's finger? I have a vague recollection that it isn't easy to travel there for some reason but is it a possibility?
Yes I truly believe everyone is a good person there are so so few exceptions to this everyone has been raised different and has different perspectives and opinions and ideas and beliefs and psychology but I have yet to meet a person that I hated once I took half a second to try and understand them.
I just have to say how much I love this place.
I know I hardly know most of ya'll but I come across this thread and it literally made my day
HUGS FOR EVERYONE
I got a kind of minor hero-of-ages feeling when I finished it. Not similar plot, but a similar feeling to when I finished hoa for the first time.
Like. I love it, but also, hold up for a second.
The most perfect, beautifully empty feeling.
I just want him dead and buried. Obviously the character himself is despicable, but I'm tired of how he just. Keeps. Coming. Back. Like a mosquito in human form.
On the other hand, he definitely could go somewhere interesting, so I probably shouldn't say that.
But still.
Not really a lot of spoilers I can think of.
There are a lot of things Brandon ended up reusing from it, so that's fun to see. I just reread dragonsteel prime a few days ago and I really enjoyed it.
Might not be exactly what you are looking for, but in dragonsteel prime, a race of immortal human beings is mentioned to have existed before they are destroyed and replaced with mortal people. There also are some gods akin to what you would see in greek/roman mythology. Although I'm not certain these would carry over into actual cosmere cannon, and immortal humans might not be considered "gods"
