  1. The Grand Knell could be the location of the Dor (Or at least where Dominion and Devotion died). It would make sense, because of the philosophy of Elantris (I can’t remember the exact philosophy, but it is something like the Dor corresponding to a current). Also, the Dor is very location oriented, so compasses would be thematically appropriate. The Dor is also the location of the investiture of not one, but two shards. That’s a lot of investiture, so it makes sense it could be pinpointed from far away.
  2. Remember, Honor was not the human’s Shard. Honor was first working with the Parshendi. Odium is the one who brought the humans to Roshar (the whole “weeeee are the voidbringers morale debate”)
  3. We know what the words the real stormfather needed were. Life before Death, Strength before Weakness, Journey before destination. So either the Stormfather is evil, or someone else is talking to Gavilar. Plus, the Stormfather lied. We know that going against the intent of a Shard is lethal to the Vessel, why should it be differ for fractions of a Shard? The Stormfather is the biggest fraction of Honors investiture, and I don’t think extensive plotting and lying is not very honorable (Although Syl, imitating an voidspren, and Pattern, lying to the Honorspren, have both lied). We can extrapolate that this change in personality is not bc of Gavilar, because the voice implies that it was plotting before it decided to chose Gavilar.
  4. Guys. Guys. Listen to this. “Give it to me!!!!!” (Or so) is apparently close to the words Gavilar needs to say. But Gavilar HASNT EVEN SWORN THE FIRST IDEAL. So unless “give it to me is similar” to “life before death”, I think Odium (or a third party) was piggybacking Gavilars bond to the Stormfather to be able to talk to him.
  5. But when Dalinar sees nales bonds, he doesn’t see anything bout a spren bond, does he?
  6. I think Wind and Truth was likely written by Sigzil or Renarin. We think of Lightweavers as the only Radiants to deal in matters of truth, but Sigzil was both a Windrunner, and a Skybreaker. Renarin works with Windrunners but LITERALLY a TRUTHwatcher. Plus, those two are the only ones able to write in bridge four other than Lyn. Plus, Wit mentions that the Wind listened and talked to him, and he supports Kal bc it does the same to him. We know that the author heard the Wind, but doesn’t now. Coincidentally, Sig was Wit’s apprentice, but isn’t anymore. Wit probably chose Sig because he knew Sig heard the Wind.
