  1. "Antagonist?" she said, lounging backwards. "Anyways, why do you want me?"
  2. "I don't know, but I've told you what I do know. He is the Antagonist. That's all I can say."
  3. "Well . . . yes. He is the threat to the entire Thread."
  4. "He will oppose you in every way possible, and I am fine with him dying, though I will warn you, I will not be permanent. Not until I am satisfied. "Rebus? What's that crown?"
  5. "Well, he hates you. With greater passion than most." Fael sat on a rock in the middle of the desert, walled in by crystals.
  6. Josha shrugged. "Alright, then. I don't believe Kéamen to be Spiked, at least not yet, but I merely wanted to point out the apparent flaw in his considerations. As I'm sure you know, too many good men have been executed for "controlling the conversation." "As for Madiane, she's done nothing to prove she's a villager, staying in the background conveniently (something I admit to also doing, as time is pressing to me), but preferring to go about her day, discussing her duties and not focusing on the crisis at hand. All her votes have seemed relatively flimsy, and most piggybacking on another train. She seems to like to blend in, hide, and that makes me distrust her."
  7. "I . . . disagree to say the least, but do seek out Fael. Atreides will be not nearly as friendly. He recently gained purpose, and true character, and will not let you kill him again. I will not. Not until I am satisfied." Storm read this, and was disturbed, and slightly curious. PM? "I . . . don't know. All I really know is that he's the Antagonist." Cricket admitted.

    1. Through The Living Glass

      Through The Living Glass

      Waffles are superior to crepes

  9. "He killed Bat and Tam left because of him. I'm not sure you understand. He is the Antagonist. The villain. The monster at the end of the tunnel." "She's . . . changed. Not evil exactly, but healthily neutral, working for the highest bidder. It's also nice to have an evil character, neutral and good character." "Stone will have to take his time, I intend to rp his ventures more traditionally." The Witherlord. Storm shuddered at that. If things could get any worse . . .
  10. "No allomantic powers for me." Josha replied. "And as for your claims, your only reasoning was that Fox, a Villager, did not mention me, and I was interested in gossip, neither of which concrete evidence, and both seem flimsy at best."
  11. HI MISS YOU haven't talked as much recently
  12. Storm sighed, stepping backwards, running a hand through his hair. "I am not trying to spell your fate, Rebus, merely warn you. I will tell you, between Atreides and Cricket, my characters will do everything in their power to stop you. Beware Stone too. He is dangerous." He paused. "Oh, and Fael is still for hire. Would hate to see her inactive again."
  13. Josha frowned. "Oh." that was odd. He frowned. It made more sense though, what with Copper Stopper (rest in peace, my friend) being a Smoker. This didn't disprove his Mistborn theory, but he needed to know more. "Var? Is there truth in what she claims? If you are village, we need to know." @StrikerEZ
  14. Josha nodded, mostly satisfied. "Three soothers?" he frowned. "That could mean a Mistborn, perhaps, which makes two soothers unlikely, but not implausible."
  15. "Not completely. You must remember that a large force of heroes could also spell your doom, I assume you are familiar with that trope, and a Protagonist is not always necessary. Also, you invariably get defeated. I have come to warn you, Rebus. You are not omnipotent. I remember a Thread without any Rebus at all. You are not eternal, and I hope you realize that. By taking up Antagonist, you have begun a ticking clock, counting to your doom."
  16. "Do you realize the ramifications of taking up Antagonist, Rebus?"
  17. Josha frowned. "Can you explain exactly why you voted for me? For clarity's sake?"
  18. Atreides opened his mouth, but before he could say a word his eyes rolled back and his hands fell to his side limp. He spoke once more, but his voice was calmer, less arrogant. "Hello, Rebus." he said softly. "I am Storm, as I am sure you know. I've briefly possessed Atreides to talk to you."
  19. "What do you want? What happens if Chaisler tries?" Atreides replied, trying to stall for time.
  20. Leon, New Hallandren, the street Leon looked up with an edge of defiance in his eyes at the truck and the officers. He wanted to stay and fight, exact vengeance, but he couldn't beat them all in a fight. However he lied to himself, he wasn't that powerful. He cursed, and leapt into the air, leaping away from the truck. He landed on a flat roof, crouching down and storing electrum. He would need it for later. How long how it been since he had felt strong? He was a thief, not a fighter. He could steal things, not break them.
  21. Atreides looked panicked, but an edge of defiance remained in his eyes. "Antagonist," he laughed shakily. "doomed to be defeated by the Protagonist. Is that the fate you want? It's inescapable, inevitable. The hero will come for you."
  22. That was a foolish way to throw around votes, Josha reflected, searching for who was dominating the conversation. Well it's beneficial for the Spiked to be in control, there was no reason for them to dominate any more than Villagers, as he had learned in previous times. He didn't consider that a substantial reason, and one of the two being a Spiked was just as strange, unless he was missing something "Keamen," Josha asked quietly. "You feel guilty for not acting up yesterday? Why exactly?"
  23. oh really Cricket sighed. "Then that's what happens. Rebus is winning. I need to try to stop him. For what he's done." SPOILERS FOR EVERYONE BUT HALY
  24. okay, lemme pm you "Leaving. Hiding. Rebus, he's . . . listen, Bat's gone. So is Tam, and its Rebus' fault. He's driving away any potential threats, and is looking to make a bid for Antagonist." He touched the golden dragon, smiling wanly. It did not give him comfort, but something different. Determination. "Rose, I . . ." he breathed softly. "I'm going to try and get Protagonist."
