    Cricket looked up. Bat was gone. He felt it in his heart. He gave Rebus one look, and grabbed Rose's arm, teleporting them both away. is he really gone? Cricket felt Bat pass on, and tears gathered at the edge of his eyes. Not Bat. Not Bat, his sweet, kind, caring friend. He didn't deserve to die, didn't deserve to pass on. He was supposed to be the Protagonist, supposed to save the Thread! Now what? Let Rebus take it over. Your age is passing, came a voice in his head. You had your run, and it was good.     Atreides struggled, reforming his hand, but he subsided. Cricket leapt to his feet, fists clenched. "Alright. I'll need more information though."

    when you make it sound like that, it is a stupid plan Atreides shouted in pain, the laser cutting a rather large hole in his armor. With Enulling gone, it took away a major advantage of Rebus. Of course, he was still fighting two other foes at the moment. Cricket grunted, slashing Savior Complex at Atreides, who parried expertly. He ducked beneath his next blow, rushing in with a jab, which cut through Atreides' armor. The Blade chanted quietly in his mind. Save lives! Save lives! Atreides grunted in pain, feeling blood. He knocked Savior Complex away from him, falling back into a defensive position. Cricket advanced on him slowly, wary of his opponent. They traded blows, neither drawing blood. Then Cricket rushed forward, Savior Complex roaring in his head. Save lives! Save lives! The Blade began to glow, sucking the light from the room. Cricket yelled, and rammed the Blade at Atreides, pinning his shoulder. Atreides screamed in pain, as Savior Complex grew louder, enveloping Cricket's mind. SAVE LIVES! SAVE LIVES! SAVE LIVES! Cricket twisted the Blade, ripping it out of his shoulder, and slashed at the Narrator, who feebly blocked it. SAVE LIVES! SAVE LIVES! SAVE LIVES! Soon everyone in the room could hear the Blade, draining all other sound. Atreides desperately tried to escape, but Cricket mercilessly advanced, knocking Crusade out of his grip. The Blade leapt forward, propelled by its own force, slicing off Atreides' hand, spilling blood everywhere. Atreides screamed in pain. "Please! Mercy!" Cricket hesitated, but the Blade swung again, narrowly missing Atreides' head. Atreides screamed in anger, shouting for mercy, and somewhere in Cricket, something broke. He called for mercy. He pleaded. He couldn't kill him, could he . . . He could. He raised the Blade, trying to dismiss his hesitation. Atreides stretched out his remaining hand, screaming desperately and Crusade flew into it. He parried the stroke as the Blade glowed golden, contrasting sharply with the darkness of Savior Complex. Cricket put all his weight against the sword, drawing up sparks from Crusade. The two Blades began to glow, brighter and brighter, until an explosion erupted from the Blades, engulfing the room. Atreides and Cricket were hurled to opposite sides slammed against the wall, and the Enulling field broke. The shards of the two Plotblades lay in the center, intermingled. @Dragonheir @Bird Furious cuz you guys are in the room

    Cricket snarled, leaping at Atreides, who parried the blow, knocking him back. Atreides smiled, only to be hit by the laser. Cricket winced, getting up. "He's good." Even without Narration, this would be tough.

    This whole mess kept on getting worse and worse, Josha told himself, struggling out of his shop smelling of cheap brandy. More murders. People he had hardly known, killed by those monsters. "The murder gives us nothing," he muttered, mostly to himself. "Low information from Lipitor. Evidently either the Spiked don't have many enemies or want to play it safe." He didn't like Madiane's vote from last night, which felt like an opportunistic move from a Spiked to try and seal a train on a Villager. The kill was also given for information, which, when Blackkeep was on the verge of disaster, felt too weak and flimsy for a serious accusation. Besides, the rest of her accusations hadn't been grounded in much. Right now, he was going to have to vote for her. Madiane. @Biplet

    Cricket paused. "Yeah, I know." he slammed an Enulling field in place all around them, engulfing them all. "You first, then him." he replied, charging at Rebel. In the back of his mind, Savior Complex chanted. Save lives. Save lives. "What price?" he said cooly. Atreides countered Rose's attack with Crusade, sending several lightning-fast strokes at her. As for Rebus, he sent literal lightning.

    "Uhh . . . Fate. Some kind of Narrator." Atreides sprinted at Rebus, eyes glowing golden. He slashed Crusade through the air, sending an arc of golden energy hurling at Rebus. Cricket frowned, still thinking this a simulation, and ran at Rebel.

    Cricket cursed, striding toward them with Savior Complex drawn. Another simulation to be defeated, he told himself. Atreides sighed, summoning Crusade as a 7 foot long golden blade.

"It's not important right now, though. Go to bed. You need rest." "But, Master Josha . . ." "Go to bed. Listen, I . . . I'm sorry you have to grow up here. In such a time. All you can do now is hope. Hope that, Lord Ruler willing, I find those Spiked tomorrow." The boy nodded. "Alright. G'night, Master." "Goodnight, Alex."
