  1. I'm not sure I agree this idea. It's certainly possible, but I feel like it wouldn't really fit in with the "Immortal Glowing Knight" idea that still takes precedence in the Radiant story. I do believe that the Fifth Ideal grants access to a Ryshadium, one that is maybe faster or stronger than others. We already know that Ryshadium use spren, specifically musicspren. Perhaps, just like the other two Shards involve bonding spren (Radiant for the Blade and lesser spren for each piece of Plate) bonding a Ryshadium will have something to do with bonding the spren that lthe Ryshadium has. However, we can always trust Brandon to keep us on our toes! The Ultimate Archivist.
  2. I got Windrunner my first time with Stoneward second, but took it again recently with Elsecaller first and Skybreaker second. However, it was all four neck and neck. I didn't think to take a screenshot sadly. Looks like I could fit in many different orders. I'll take it!
  3. What about Adin? The boy Kaladin put his armor on? He was willing to sacrifice himself, but at the last moment, realized he didn't want to die? Just speculations. Heinous. A perfect word. I'm still leaning towards the Adolin theory, but I hadn't considered this. It is almost certain it will be someone it will be hard for Dalinar to fight, not physically, but morally.
  4. Yes, Metal minds and Primer Cubes. Typically, I like to think of something as complicated as a modern combustion engine: many small Investiture techs working in concert to achieve a greater and more intricate action. Things like construction equipment, modern weaponry, and home appliances. But it keeps cycling back to the same problem; is Investiture all that great of a fuel? Is it common enough to be used everyday? And is the work it accomplishes as efficient or as powerful? Magic can accomplish things with greater ease. But it is also much less available in the hands of common man. In order to get Allomancy to a normal person, we need Primer Cubes. In order to get Feruchemy to someone, we need unkeyed metalminds. Unless you want to use Hemalurgy... My point being, perhaps the technological age we seek for Scadrial is not as magic centric as we hoped. Perhaps only certain technologies can be enhanced by magic systems, and they build these more complicated and rarer systems on the backs of normal processes. We saw a lot of this in the second era, where guns and electricity were fairly common, but coinshots were still relatively rare. Are you seeing my point? A way out of this that I can see with minimal damage involves hemalurgic compounders. Men and women who gain a spike to make dozens of unkeyed metalminds and charge Primer Cubes to help the common folk. Hemalurgic compounding would be a great benefit; imagine strike teams, each with metalminds containing speed, strength, mental thought, and other attributes. An era 4 military of incredible power. I am wandering now. But the ideas continue to flow! Each man has a "survival pack" with a full unkeyed metalmind of each attribute that can keep him alive when he is in danger. What happens when each Scadrial soldier has a Band of Mourning? And it all comes from the Hemalurgic Compounders. I know I totally got distracted. Then again, this conversation is "Rambling about technology in era 4". But still, what are all of your thoughts? The Ultimate Archivist
  5. Returning to the concept of futuristic technomancy, I find this the perfect place to implement a theory of mine. @Trusk'our is already aware of this; we discussed the possibility of Awakened Primer Cubes. In considering this, we may find Cubes whose command had been altered; now when charged, they only push or pull on certain metals or emotions, or activate at certain times or under certain circumstances. I thought this was about the coolest idea that had crossed my mind. However, the earlier concerns are correct; Harmonium is scarce. Human attributes are not. If we focus on Feruchemical charges as power in an Awakened Metalmind, perhaps even more complicated machinery could be produced. Let's discuss! Also sorry if I missed something in the earlier conversations and you guys already talked about this. Trying to keep up; you guys are fast! The Ultimate Archivist
  6. Depends... its not a Cookie Clicker cookie, is it? Those are evil. Otherwise, definitely!
  7. You know you are a Sanderfan when your newer friend asks what the Wheel of Time is and you respond with "There's always another secret."
  8. As an adult male in this society... I adore it! Beautiful show, very kind and with lots of small tidbits that keep it fun! Phew. So glad there is no shame here.
  9. Have a wonderful day of birthday celebration!

  10. When you see a man with white hair and instinctively flare all of your metals
  11. I believe that it will end with Adonalsium on the verge of being reformed, and our current protagonists find out why Adonalsium was Shattered in the first place. However, the reason details why they shouldn't reform Adonalsium, and they have to use all of their effort stopping it happen. Something along those lines; the twist Brandon adores where the problem isn't actually problem and something that was seemingly irrevelant becomes the solution. (Mistborn Era 1)
  12. Hello! It is a pleasure to meet you!
  13. I agree that this would be the logical direction that such a climax will take us, and agree that it would be suitably fulfilling. However, considering the type of author Brandon is, I believe he would be likely to throw out a cliche in that sense and use a more complicated storyline. I would be excited for both; however, when extra complications are thrown into the mix of such an already tense moment, you could hopefully create an even more satisfying ending that makes sense overall. But yeah. Hoid as the Cosmere Overfather would be really cool. I want it to happen just because it would be really cool to see all the Shards reassembled. Let me know if you thought this helpful! 14. Please accept my most gracious thanks.
  15. Yes, I agree! Pressure is definitely a possibility. Do you think that this means that Dor outside of the Cognitive Realm takes on more liquid attributes? And how would this factor in with Anti-Investiture? Such stimulating conversation!
  16. The most glorious of puns.
  17. Hey! I noticed similarities in our names, and it got me interested in your profile!

Let me know if there's anything you want to know about me or anything else I can help you with.

    With humility and reverence,

  18. I have taken the test twice and received Windrunner both times, with Stoneward as a close second. I feel it is time for a retry, however. Wish me luck! Elsecaller, Skybreaker, Windrunner, and Stoneward are my top four results. I appear to have settled very comfortably in that range.
  19. Chaos, or anyone who can answer, this is a cry for help! I cannot find the field that allows me to input a signature. I simply feel this would make others more amicable to me and my studies. Can anyone assist me by pointing me in the right direction? Frightfully perplexed, the Ultimate Archivist.
  20. Salutations, companion! Welcome to this haven of knowledge and scholarship! We are here to help you learn.
  21. Yes, and neither Lights nor the Dor exhibit typical properties of plasma, such as the 50,000 degrees Kelvin temperature necessary to reach that state. Typically I refer to plasma in an investiture form as a thicker gas, exactly like Lights. Thanks for the clarification! Does anyone else have any input?
  22. Salutations, companion! Welcome to our scholarly abode! What is your favorite magic system that you've seen so far?
  23. As of yet, we have seen examples of investiture in the four states of matter; solid (God Metals), liquid (Perpendicularity pools), gaseous (Ruin's smoke underneath Kredik Shaw), and plasmic (Gemstone Lights). However, we have only seen Anti-Investitures in the plasmic form in Anti-Voidlight and Anti-Stormlight. I'm assuming you are all following the same path I did? But how would solid investitures mix? Would it be similar to chemistry, where two solids are inert unless "dissolved" in a solution, perhaps of an unkeyed investiture? "Investiture Chemistry? Let's discuss!
  24. I am under the belief that Kaladin will seek out the self sacrifice route. It is entirely possible that he Ascends to Honor, but I believe that his path will lean towards becoming a Herald and suffering for mankind after Dalinar wins the contest. Even if he Ascended, I believe he would still take this path because of the now innate inclination towards honor; he wouldn't be able to resist suffering to protect people. However, just a theory!
