    There were two nearby. Each was still tightly locked down, for some reason. The only people who would've had those were the guards, but they were also probably either hiding or dealing with the threat. It was likely they were all simply in other emergency shelters. She found a few. Yum!

    Not a single soul stood outside the door. The station's public spaces, once filled with bustling crowds, now stood abandoned. Every step that landed on the metallic floor echoed off the station's cavernous corridors. It felt . . . eerie. As if everyone had fled in a hurry and left them behind.
