The Battle for the Sandwich
Through The Living Glass replied to AltonicKeys's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
I gently set a marshmallow in front of Doomslug for no apparent reason. Then I throw a Bleu Shell (yep, like the cheese) at Lunamor and steal the sandwich while she is distracted by the smell.- 13683 replies

I mean, who doesn't appreciate a good pun? Welcome to the Shard, Jae! I'm new too! If you could have any fabrial from SA in real life, what would it be? (assume it will never stop working no matter what)

Hmm... Thanatophobia. I don't fear being dead but I do fear the dying process... also losing your loved ones is included in that phobia. Agoraphobia is the fear of wide open spaces; which I don't technically have. For part of my childhood in the South I lived in Tornado Alley, so wide open spaces in the REAL WORLD don't bother me. However... the few times I've ever used a VR... Y'all know that endless white landscape when you log into a VR for the first time? THAT TERRIFIES ME. Other than that I can't really think of anything I'm scared of. *fearless yeahhhhhh*

Hi, SilverShard! I'm also new here! The spores are actually different kinds of Aether, so they're neither animal nor plant. Although Verdant Aethers grow into Verdant plants, they count as plants only after they've come in contact with water. If you could visit any country on Roshar for a week, where would you go and why?

The Person Below Me

(I do. *maniacal laughter*) I have pet a manta ray! It was stranded on a beach when I lived in the South, so it wasn't at an aquarium or anything! Maybe pet is a strong word... more like I poked it a few times with my finger and then shied away when it moved. TPBM has gone bungee jumping. -

After a moment, Javi waved to the eavesdropping man. "...you come and sit also." -

"Alright." She walked to the nearest table and took a seat. "Sit." -
How Did You Become Cosmere Aware?
Through The Living Glass replied to Through The Living Glass's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Wow, that's an amazing story! And hey, you're totally fine! I honestly do stuff like that all the time. -
I think the title speaks for itself. Most of y'all probably knew about the Cosmere and how the books are connected either before or when you started reading them, but does anyone have any fun stories on how you came to find out? Here's mine (also some spoilers for Oathbringer and Warbreaker): Anyone else find out about the Cosmere on their own?

The Happy Inquisitor: A Restaurant

"A story? What kind of story? Do I have to tell it to you now? Does it have to be fake or real? How long does it have to be? Does it have to be about me or someone else? Does it have to be about a person at all? What about a group of people? A rock? A sock? A Stick? Could it be about you? What do you do with stories? What makes a story worth anything at all? What makes a story a story? Why do you want a story in exchange for food anyway? Don't you need money to keep your restaurant going? Why don't you make people pay normally?" She paused, and pulled a purple candle out of her sleeve. "I could tell you a story about this candle, if you'd like." -

Yep! Not well of course, but I can. TPBM owns a bear skull. -

Javi waves back hesitantly. That's odd, she could have sworn there were four... Javi stared at the strange man, then thought for a moment. "Alright, I promise not to hawk my wares in your establishment. How much for the food?" -

Javi blinks at the tall, red-haired man standing above her without removing her hood. "Mm, okay." She takes a quick look at the menu. "Could I get... a boot cake and an apple cider? Please?" -
The Last Post Wins!!!!!
Through The Living Glass replied to Vargo Seldon's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Hmm... I've never won anything quite like this before. Cool. -
I think I belong here on this thread. I have no desire to finish my inverse tangent math homework at all. As for rocks: I, for one, think that rocks do think, however thinking rocks. What makes a rock able to think? Is it the thinking of rocks that brings them to think or the rock thinking it thinks it can think which causes more thinking about thinking, with thinking?

Meanwhile, back in the restaurant... Javi walked through the front entrance, then paused. "I get the feeling I'm interrupting something..." she whispered to herself. Instead of being polite to whoever she was interrupting, she yelled into the restaurant, "I SELL CANDLES. VERY... SPECIAL CANDLES! ONLY TWO MARKS EACH!" She sat down in a corner and pulled a black hood over her head.
