    Connor, having somehow hallucinated a lasso on the box, spun around and plunged his other hand into the water, grabbing the vine-thing again, before wrenching upwards and trying to get it out of the water

    Connor notices Kresh’s leaving and swears at him, before saying to Sharp “Leave me here with Krin, follow Kresh, but stay out of sight. Krin will be safe, he can heal from the knife wounds, and he can slip out of the grasp of whatever has a hold on my ankle, so don’t worry about him.” Connor then stops pulling on the lasso for a second, then yanks it as hard as he can, attempting to pull Tondon into the water. @J.     Connor grabs the lasso with one hand and holds on, before pulling himself along it and away from the creature. “[dang]. It. I. Just. Want. The. Box!” he grunts. Connor then tries to wrap his legs around it and bring it with him.
