  1. Butterflies or beetles?
  2. "Woof!-I mean, how did you find out?-I mean, what on earth are you talking about, I'm a normal human who does normal human things!-I mean, um, um, squirrel! Barkbarkbarkbarkbark..." At least, that is how my dog would sound if she learned how to type TPBM has been to Canada.
  3. Well hello! Glad to officially welcome you to the Shard! What is one of your favourite moments in the Cosmere?
  4. Footprints at a cliff's edge. Gone.
  5. English, math, and THEATRE! (and I am actually seriously considering becoming a teacher, so I have put quite a bit of thought into that question) What is your favourite kind of tree?
  6. What is your favourite kind of tree?
  7. Hi! What is your favourite: Month? Candy bar? Song? Word? Type of bread? Type of tree? Procrastination activity? Cosmere character? And, most importantly, do you like cats?
  8. Chuck Norris's brief stint in philosophy lead to the developement of the infamous Trolley Problem. He was the trolley.
  9. This is my favourite one so far! Partially because of the cleverness, and partially because anytime I hear the word "Zippo," "Wheat Kings" by the Tragically Hip starts playing in my head, and that song just makes me happy. What do you call a cow with two legs?
  10. I've not met I, but they certainly could!
  11. Are you a dog person? Cat person? Both? If any of the above, what are some of your favourite breeds?
  12. That is an excellent question! Honestly, Stormlight feels like the most personalized series I have actually read, so I will be drawing lots of inspiration from that. For genre, it would be a secondary world fantasy (No Earth allowed! ), with mostly non-standard worldbuilding, but several pieces of traditional fantasy that I really like (Fey Folk, unicorns, shapeshifters, elemental beings, treefolk, the list goes on). Magic would definitely have structure, but I think it would be overall softer than Brandon's magic systems. Books would be longer, in the 800-1000+ pages range, but would still hold tension and drive. I want a decent number of POV characters, around 4-6 of 'em, that feel very different from each other, but all are compelling and relatable, with multiple of them being LGBTQ+, and multiple of them being neurodivergent. Romance is very much appreciated, so long as it does not take over the plot all the time. I don't have anything specific in mind for the plot itself, but there would definitely be Sanderlanches. The prose style would be on the clear/concise side, overall, but there would be plenty of room for more dreamy or artistic description. As for book structure, I love interludes, epigraphs, prologues, multiple "parts" that have distinct POVs and sub-arcs, so it would pretty much be the exact same structure as Stormlight. Finally, there would be plentiful interior illustrations, and the book itself would be hardcover, but with the cover art printed on the book itself (I can't stand dustjackets). Sorry for such a rambling reply; your question was very thought-provoking!
  13. Brandon Sanderson and Naomi Novik, with an adult fantasy series, would be excellent. Dan Wells and Andrzej Sapkowski, with a sword-and-sorcery fantasy series, could be really good. Neal Shusterman and S. J. Kincaid with a shorter sci-fi series would be very interesting. Finally, Holly Black and Maggie Stiefvater, with an older YA urban fantasy trilogy, is absolutely my top dream collaberation. And, if I'm really dreaming, there would be interior illustrations by Sam Guay.
  14. I have a chosen name, so that wish is already fulfilled! However, some other names I really like are Emily, Lydia, Rose, and several others.
  15. I have been meaning to make one of these for a while, so, for my 100th post, I present: Ask me anything* and everything*! *In the possible event that I don't feel comfortable answering a question, I may provide a (hopefully entertaining) lie in bolded purple text...I don't know why I just thought of that, but it seems like more fun than simply ignoring the question!
  16. Similar to how, when someone asks "Do you mind if I [insert action]," the responses "yes" and "no" can mean the same thing. English is weird
  17. I just woke up, checked my phone, and was hit by 167 notifications. Such is the price of following "Cosmere Discussion," "Introduce Yourself," and "General Brandon Discussion". Still, getting to report three bots in as many minutes was very satisfying!
  18. Yay! 🕳🏔🕷↩
  19. I had half a thought that neil was the Informant, and it solidified after my death. I just wish I could remember what my exact reasoning for it at the time was, though. Good game to all, and thanks again to |TJ| for running it!
  20. I have tried many times, but have yet to succeed. TPBM likes to sing.
  21. Airbud?
  22. Chuck Norris does not lose his cool, because Chuck Norris does not lose. No, if you see Chuck Norris get angry, it's because he threw his cool away himself, and you should probably start running.
  23. Proof: Fig. 1: My cat's uncanny ability to avoid injury when she tries to jump onto something that is too tall for her. Fig. 2: My couch, and its many, many, many claw marks. Theory: Dunny will return, as Odium's champion, to fight Kaladin.
  24. Receives an enraged pineapple. Inserts a leather jacket.
