Yeah

I'm not completely media illiterate, I can still see problems with some movies/shows/stories. But oftentimes I just try to take it for what it is and appreciate what it brought.

Like the blue people Avatar. Even if the plot is kind of basic and the writing isn't the best, the worldbuilding is incredible and the visuals are stunning. And that's what I chose to focus on.

I think part of what RoP's problem was is that so many people had high expectations based on other LotR stuff, and the writing didn't meet those expectations. It's hard when you're in an established world and fandom.

Yeah, it definitely is…

it passed my vibe check (the sound of jangling chains always gets me) so I’m mostly chill with it
