She quickly picks her up. “Hush, we’ve got to go.” She starts walking quickly towards the other direction as the crowds start to move towards town square.
“Pumpkin…this is best option for you. If you can’t choose between us then…this is what we have to do.” I pretend to side eye @Part Of The Narrative but it’s not harsh. “You can do this sweetheart, we can work together. Okay? Mamma promises she will be nice to Veil.” I lean down to her, crouching.
I squeeze it back smiling slightly.
“It’s going to be okay, we both love you very much… shhh.” I rub her hand softly, letting go so she can hug Veil.
I stay silent a moment. “I suppose…”
I quickly move and stand to her right side, leaving the other side to Veil, but not mentioning it.
“Heyyy sweetie, you okay honeybun?” I say softly, taking her hand and rubbing my thumb over it in mine.
I sit impatiently in the waiting area. My feet tap against the floor to a quick beat. I stare blankly at the clock, running my hand up and down my pants to find something to hold on to.
“I call @The Wandering Wizard to the stand to prove that hugs are just as or more valuable as cookies ESPECIALLY if the child’s love language is touch.”
“I unfortunately have not had the pleasure of giving her any cookies. I have given her many hugs though.” I shrug. “Hugs are nice. I like warm hugs.”
I clear my throat. “May I call a witness?” (I definitely know what I’m doing)
