I happen to be producing a play based on WOK (there's a post lower on the page), and I have some ideas if you are interested!

Sadly, the paperwork states no recording. There will probably be pictures at some point.

Funny thing is, part of Kaladin's chasm kata is based off that choreography. We are building wooden platforms/state extensions to widen the stage. We'll have a gap in between two of them on one side of the stage, and that is where our "chasm" will be. The bridge will be placed across an actual gap. Sadly, chasmfiends will not exist, since all the plauteus are mostly offstage. Yes! Here's act 1. (Keep in mind that some details have been changed to allow for our groups specific capacity.) Unfortunately, we don't really have a plan for the spren. It would be difficult to say the least, and we decided that it would be better to keep them as part of the "deeper" lore that doesn't really get an appearance. Syl will be played by an actress, and therefore human shape/size the entire time. For Stormlight, we are thinking LEDs for spheres, and those "fairy light" bands for Kaladin.

A little context: When I first joined the Shard, I posted that I was working on a little fan project, a play based on TWOK. It's now been a year, and a lot has happened. First of all, to make this project possible, a TON of stuff has been cut. Shallan's story is completely gone, since it wasn't critical to a contained WOK. Dalinar is only introduced at the very end of the play, since his main storyline introduces a lot of political complications that a casual audience does not need to know to enjoy the production. Since Kaladin is the main character, we decided to really focus on him and his story. And our result; Stormblessed, a play based on TWOK. Secondly, and most importantly, this play is approved and authorized by Brandon himself. We have paperwork authorizing a production next year. I have spent a couple 100 hours writing and rewriting scripts, organizing props lists, and designing choreography and sets. It has been a long journey, and I am so happy that it is really happening. The main reason for this post is to ask the community for help and advice. Do you have any ideas on how to improve this project, and heighten the experience for the audience? What would be a cool addition, or something that you think is critical?

WoK Question - Dalinar’s Trust in his Visions
Lighteyed Lieutenant replied to aswil's topic in Stormlight Archive
I believe that Dalinar's "Knowing what my curse was" is refering to his lost knowledge of Evi, and how he can't remember her.- 2 replies

I recently saw a post on Pintrest about the Earth planetary flag, and it caused me to think, "Do the planets of the Cosmere have flags of their own?" As I thought more, I realised that flags are not a large part of the Cosmere. Highprinces on Roshar have banners with their glyphs, and the ships on Lumar have flags, but those are really the only examples that I can think of. So I'm wondering, what would the planetary flags of the Cosmere look like? I imagine that Scadrial's would have Harmony's symbol on it, and that you could have an Aon for Sel, but what do you guys think?

What Are You Listening To Now?
Lighteyed Lieutenant replied to Chaos's topic in Entertainment Discussion
Do it! by Royish Good Looks. Palpatine's famous line made into a song. -
This one is a Warhammer 40k reference, based on my profile picture. Cadia stands. Thus nowhere to run they finally stand. Charge! Standing finally, they run to nowhere. Thus stands Cadia.

Full disclosure: this is my first attempt at a ketek. My brother says it doesn't work, but I think its good. Heart. A beat. Within strength and courage of all mankind. Mankind all of courage and strength; within beats a heart.

He would also become an excellent dancer, if he wasn't already. Just sliden' across the dance floor.

Can't wait for some Taln POV! Hopefully more than remembering Braize.

I like Dalinar, but Adolin takes #1 because he's just a really cool guy. Friendly, cares about his friends, and can really perform when he's needed. The scene where he duels the four Shardbearers is the coolest scene in that part of WOR.

I took a poll, and team Moash seems to be a minority. They are small but mighty. I think it will remain as one of the greatest controversies to ever plague the Shard.

Chasmfiend. Their symbiotic relationship with spren is really interesting to me. Also the fact that they are one of the few megafauna in the Cosmere. -
Second Orders of various characters
Lighteyed Lieutenant replied to SteelBagel's topic in Stormlight Archive
I could see Dalinar as a Stoneward as well, though that seems a touch obvious. There's others out there but nothing off the top of my mind. I'll have to come back to this.
