    After a moment, Daniel unlocked the last area of his mind. Inside was a mountain of self-hatred, seeing almost all consuming. With it came a desire to just end it, to just die.

    “I think so. Are you?”

    Daniel smiled at her. “Sure.”

    “Yeah, I think now. If this changes how you feel about me…well it’s better that it happens now then later.”

    “I need to tell someone about it. Although it might be easier to understand if you look into my mind and see it.”

    And I thought he would never refer to himself as Thaidybear.

    “Thanks for understanding. If you really want to know, I’ll let you.”

    “Thanks.” A moment later: “Even though you know I’m hiding stuff from you?”

    He laughed too. “Maybe I will. But you really are.”

    I’ve never really interacted with him, but I did see him for a second at Dragonsteel. It’s very fun to pretend that he’s a scary person, but he’s usually very polite, if frank, with his asking people not to ping him.

    “Well I’d like to stay here with you. I’d also like to tell you that you are very remarkable, no matter what other people say or you may think.”

    “Is there anything you’re wanting to do? Or are you going to make me decide?”

    I love it! Character arc, let someone else be the hero for once, let them teach you instead of you trying to save them. It’s just so great!

    I just did a 30 minute (kind of writing sprint thingy) writing session. In it, I decided to change a ton of my plot. I’m so happy about it, it crushes the characters even more and gives them better character arc for books 2 and 3 when I write them.

     Also, I have a RP character who is pretty much the same person as me. That’s fun.

    Daniel sighed. He’d wanted that moment to last forever, holding her in his arms. “I don’t know. Hopefully something with you.”

    “I’d say you’re really good at them,” he whispers.

    “You don’t need to be sorry, its my fault for not showing my emotions right.” Just like how everything wrong is always my fault. If I was gone everyone would be so much happier. Well, except maybe Julie.

    He tightened the embrace too, holding her close.

    “You said thank you, what did I do to deserve thanks?”

    He huffed her back, at first a little coldly, but he quickly melted into it. “What did I do?” he whispered in her ear.
