Daniel tried to see why she was sad, looking through the link.

She saw his confusion at why she hated herself, he saw his appreciation that she was willing to talk to him about it, she saw his respect for how she pressed forward through her trials, she saw his pain once again because of how she was feeling pain, and she saw two places in his mind that he hid from her, not allowing her to see what was there.

I think I can be here -
“You are not worthless,” Daniel said with conviction. “And I’ve got a lot of stuff wrong with me too, you just haven’t known me long enough for you to see. I was sent here because of my problems, my family hated me because of them.”

Daniel understood that hatred, he felt it too, every day. He allowed under understanding to be shared, to help her know she wasn’t alone.

He leaned against her, body pressing against hers, feeling a warmth spread through his body.

Daniel felt pain, pain because Julie was in pain. He felt a little bit of pleasure at her closeness to him, joy because she seemed to like to be be near him, and sadness because she couldn’t understand how remarkable she was.

Daniel sat there next to her, trying to be as comforting as possible. Everything else could wait, everything else was under control, she needed him, so he’d be there for her.

Daniel looked at Julie. “Where do we go to get the authorities?” he whispered.

“What are you going to do to her?”

“What danger?”

"Well it's over now, he'll be alright."

"I know, it was horrible," Daniel said. "Are you ok?" he asked again.

Daniel contemplated putting an arm around her shoulders, but decided it would be best to not, as he was covered in blood. Instead he slid down next her, allowing her to lean against him if she chose.

Daniel sighed in relief, then walked over to Julie. "Are you ok?"

Appreciates poke. I will work for at least an hour tomorrow, the next chapter will be out hopefully by Wednesday.

"Quickly, this man needs help."

Daniel rushed forward. He didn't know much of medicine, but he tried to put pressure on the worst of the injuries. @Ookla the Resolute

"We need to get him one, Julie, go get one and tell them our location. I'll try to help staunch the blood flow more."

Daniel saw that look and knew. He couldn't let her do this on her own. So he followed her. @Ookla the Resolute

"Well how do I know she'll be safe with you? Obviously someone already got hurt."

“I’m not sure what to think,” he said shakily. “I guess we’ll have to go see.” ”Why can’t I come?”
