I don't think this is how it works. The basic lashing actually twists gravity pulling you somewhere else. What you've got here sounds more akin to a reverse lashing, giving something else it's own gravitational pull.

Any reason for this name? Non-canonical terms get confusing quickly if they aren't widespread in their use, leading to misunderstandings if it is mentioned elsewhere by someone who hasn't read this topic.

I'll just pop in here to add some facts. The name of the second woman is Tarah. She did not die in an escape attempt, Kaladin met her in Amaram's army after the death of Tien. He was in a period of obsession over learning to master the spear, so he wouldn't ever fail to protect someone again. She managed to coax him back to some level of normalcy. Kaladin says that his failure with her was "different" from all his others, leading to a possible romantic failure rather then death on her part. Hope this doesn't sound condescending at all, the only reason I know anything is because I literally just read this part like two days ago.

From everything I have read, there is no indication that Urithiru is built at the Origin. As a matter of fact the Origin is said to be off the east coast of Roshar, but Urithiru is supposedly built in the west of Roshar.

I would like to announce that I'm back! Also I missed this place like crazy. Reading TWoK was good though, I caught a bunch of things I'd missed before, and got a better understanding of the story. I'm still Cosmere hooked though. After a concert my half deaf and with my eyes all messed up from the lights, I felt like Spook after he became a tin savant. Also I found the outline of Aon Omi in a chair. Also I was in a hot tub and totally felt like I was in the Well of Ascension. In other words I'm still nuts, but glad to be back!

I would like to announce that I will be taking a forced leave of absence from the forums for two weeks beginning tomorrow. I'm going on a short trip and internet will be spotty at best, but I'll attempt to check in as often as possible. So never fear I have not vanished! I shall return in a fortnight, with the lore of Roshar refreshed from my copperminds. (aka I'm reading TWoK on the car trip ) Upon my return, expect a renewed memory of what is fact and speculation in that book, as well as a new theory and a new discussion topic I want to get going. I've done a quick google search and it seems there have been some reports of trojans, but other have said that they were just false positives, so I'd like to hear what you guys have to say.

Those symbols are getting progressively older. The set from the TFE was the Steel Alphabet at that time, the set from WoA is from around the Ascension I believe, and the set from HoA was from Classical Scadrial, long before the Ascension. The symbols were shaped off the the mists originally, which is why you can see them getting progressively more mist-like as you go back. There is a fourth set in AoL that is very similar to those in TFE but a bit more modern. The Terris symbols are also a variant of the Steel Alphabet, they are descended from the same language I believe. Be warned, if you chop up those chapter icon images, they end up getting a little bit blurry.

There already are some rules and guidelines for the Coppermind. We are in the process with developing more, if you have any specific suggestions we'd love to hear what they are. Renaming articles is an admin only power, so you'd have to get specific about what changes need to be made. I searched Shardblade and I'm not sure exactly what issue you have with the title, other then the fact that it contains information on Shardplate, which should probably be moved to a separate article. We can't name it "Shards" after all, because it would get confusing. You can always pop into the chatroom if you'd like to discuss it, we often talk about issues and plans for the Coppermind there.

I don't think that I've seen the AoL era symbols around either. They are fairly close to the TFE symbols, though. Let me know if there are any individualized symbols made. I'm actually planning on making some flashcards for myself to learn the alphabets. (as well as the Aons & Alethi) Can anyone recommend a free program that I could use to make some fairly good quality ones myself?

Do you mean how do we know that Demoux is there, or how do we know that Demoux is the Thinker and not Blunt? The answer to the first one is that Brandon has confirmed that Demoux appears in that scene. The answer to the second one is that the Thinker has a big old scar on his head, just like Demoux. As for Harmony changing Allomancy we can't really draw conclusions on it, Brandon has RAFO'd every one, including how Snapping has changed. However, I really don't think that him reverting Allomancy would change the people who were malatium and atium Mistings. There would be no new ones born certainly, but what Allomantic power you have is hardwired into your sDNA, so I don't think that's going to change. There is presumably a lerasium alloy that can make Seers so atium Mistings are still possible, just not born. I don't think there's any need to change it, unless you can provide fairly conclusive evidence that his Spiritweb was actually changed by Sazed, I think I'll leave it as is.
