Also, I am of the opinion that the monster in the safe is simply the Soulcaster.

I mean that whatever symbol they may use to represent that sound in-world, "lh" is what it would sound like to us.

I think the "lh" is supposed to be an English pronunciation equivalent, but don't quote me on that. EDIT: The people in-world see it as a palindrome, so it must just be a translation quirk.

I really don't think that Desolation is a Shard, the name doesn't sound quite right to me. There's also this, which would leave your theory with one too many Shards. Hope this doesn't sound too much like a buzzkill, but the idea of a fourth Shard on Roshar has been tossed around before, and it always runs up against this wall.

Brrrrrrrrrandon! I totally didn't expect to like this book as much as I did, dumb of me, I know. The setting itself really has captured my imagination. Alt-history is one of my personal favorite genres. I really can't wait to know more about various points where the course of history shifted from our own. I'm especially curious about the lost civilization in North America. Part of me wonders if the Tower of Nebrask and all is tied up in why North America is islands now, instead of a continent. We don't really know much about the nature of the Honorblades, aside from that they were more powerful than Shardblades, so your theory is as good as any. On Jezrien On the Almighty End-positive, end-neutral, and end-negative are the classifications for various types of investiture. Yes anyone can hold a Shard, but people with access to magic tend to have an easier time of it.

I didn't see anything that indicated that at all. It seems likely to me that Seons have their own religion.

We should totally bug Joe about building a better search feature for the database since he can monkey around with the code now.
