Quick Fix 66: Full River Red
The Paradoxical Phenomenon replied to Kasimir's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Devo She voted Xino with JNV, and there are other things as well ED1T: I had a pretty active PM with Archer, and I’m sad to see him go. But, in the PM, he spoke about how Devo and Fifth both PMed him, asking for reads, they both said they were sus of the same person (Xino) and things like that. So, I want to exe Devo, then Fifth, and hopefully we’ll win it in 2 more cycles. ED2T: Hi Aman! ED3T (cause I don’t feel like posting again): @xinoehp512 would you agree with this thought process? @|TJ|, would you?- 277 replies

Quick Fix 66: Full River Red
The Paradoxical Phenomenon replied to Kasimir's topic in Sanderson Elimination
The snotty lieutenant was beginning to get on Mallard’s nerves. “Who’s to say you are true Discovery Soldier? You could be traitor scum just as easily as I!” Mallard was tired of people thinking she didn’t want to help. She had thoughts that she just didn’t know how to phrase. Everyone else in the group made her skin crawl. Except for Randen. He was dead now. Dead, killed right beside her, blood spilled onto her clothes. She had knelt there, done nothing. “You got the captain’s Signet,” she said, “yet you won’t reveal the information publicly. You play kiss-up to the captain, you’re the perfect soldier, that rarely shows emotion. What are you hiding, lieutenant?” Mallard understood that her words, in the end, would get her killed. But she didn’t give a duck anymore. She had brushed with death, and she would do it again, no doubt. One day, she thought, I’ll be killed, and they’ll know me for what I am. A useless waste of blood. When they killed her they’d regret it. I will make them. Randen… Rambleton… we will avenge you. I promise. Even if I lose my life in the process, we will find the traitors, and make them pay. But first, I will make them scream. Perhaps, one day, I’ll finally be able to get them to regret ruining the lives of so many…- 277 replies

Quick Fix 66: Full River Red
The Paradoxical Phenomenon replied to Kasimir's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well, I have been “avidly paying attention to the goings-on,” because I’ve been more active in PMs, where I don’t really feel bad for not RPing. I’m sorry to everyone who does, but I strongly dislike RPing for some reason. I’m going to try to be more active in the thread, and I’m going to try to do some more RP, but I’m struggling to get fully invested in the game. That’s probably because it’s only Cycle 2. I too have “an instinctive distaste for ducks,” why else do you think I spent the better part of my life beating them up? I, instead of speaking like a duck wrangler is beneath me, decided to get my hands dirty for once in my worthless life and do something about it. [that was my character (who can apparently read minds) speaking. @everyone is there any good reason that y’all are sus of me beyond 1) I’ve not been super active or helpful yet, or 2) Archer said I was sus in the PM? I honestly can’t remember why I thought it would be a good idea to say “I’m a villager,” but I did so…]- 277 replies

“Well,” Mallard said, “if I were a traitor, I’d want to kill a poet.” She glanced around the room at the various word-wielding members of the group. Stupid poets. You ask one a question, and what do you get? A riddle or an additional question. Poets, so obsessed with being better than those around them, would be of little use to finding a traitor. Unless there turns out to be some sort of a clue that needs solving, their so-called “talents” wouldn’t be able to stop a murderer. See, a duck wrangler, for instance, might be able to grapple with an escaping assassin. Their muscles would normally be enough to hold an opponent at bay. You ask a duck wrangler a question, and she’ll give you an answer. An honest answer, too honest for some, maybe, like a sensitive poet. Tell a poet something he doesn’t like, and he’ll attempt to spin words around you, put tou off your feet. A duck wrangler will just go ahead and literally put you off your feet. Mallard decidedly did not like poets. But alas, hating on poets didn’t help them find a killer. Unless, Mallard considered, the killer was a poet. She decided she would keep them under a watchful eye. Snapping out of what was rapidly becoming a reverie (accursed reveries), Mallard stood up. “Men,” she declared, “today is not a day to be arguing amongst ourselves. When it comes down to a point that we all have differing views on who the traitors might be, then we will argue.” Mallard stumbled in her speech. She had been raised to beat up ducks, not what ever this was. Doubt crept into her heart, seeping through the edges. What if they didn’t find a traitor? What if the true culprits were right under their noses, going unnoticed? Well, I’ll strangle that duck when the time comes. “Now,” she said quietly, “we find somebody to beat up.”- 277 replies

Find a killer. What had Mallard got herself roped into? She barely even knew why she was doing yet, and she was already supposed to find the man who killed the ambassador. Doesn’t seem like I’ll be doing a lot of duck wrangling, she thought. Doesn’t seem like there’ll be a lot of hand to hand. Though… if I’m the one to find the killer… I could be rich! I could be famous! Mallard had always been ambitious. But up until now, daydreams of wealth and renown had been just that, a dream. Just like squeezing a duck-tater…- 277 replies
