    Dude. I own a gambeson (padded medieval armor), leather sword gloves, and a pair of leather riding boots that make up my Renn fair entourage. I would wear a longsword along with, but I'm not sure how legal that would be where I live. What is your opinion of Amazon's The Wheel of Time adaptation?

    The Lord of the Rings. Even though I have the almost-to-tears reaction every time I finish it, experiencing that for the first time again would be amazing. What is something you regret not saying to someone?

    HEMA (historical European martial arts) instructor. Swords are awesome and so are combat sports. If you could have dinner with five dead people, who would they be? That's poor phrasing; they're no longer dead for the duration of the meal.

    I gotta say, it's a little odd to have complete strangers wishing me a happy birthday, but at the same time it's pretty great!

    All the friends I know personally forgot today was my birthday. So did I, for that matter.:P

    I have a brass ring that once belonged to my great-grandfather. I wear it every day on my left middle finger. You are now in a duel with a fictional character of your choice. You may also choose one fighting style (a martial art, a form of sword fighting, etc.) to fight the duel with. Who and how do you fight and why?

    Farm boy/servant gets caught up in world events. Robert Jordan and Tad Williams* did it masterfully, but I've never read any others that were good. What book character would you spend a day with?

    You are in for a wild, wild ride my friend. The Lord of the Rings. While The Hobbit is an excellent book, lotr is what completely reinvented an entire genre. It's also more deeply connected to the vastness of Tolkien's lore and that was my introduction to the wonders of epic fantasy. But The Silmarillion is better than both. Do you own a real, functional sword?
