    So I made a mistake with my July reading list and bit off more than I could chew. I finished one out of five books.

    Because of that, my August reading list is only going to be three books.

    Gardens of the Moon, by Steven Erikson, Last Argument of Kings, by Joe Abercrombie, and The Grace of Kings, by Ken Liu.

    Just those three, and I will be starting the first this evening.

      Hehe I made the same mistake, I took like 5 books on vacation with me and finished exactly 1. They weren’t even long or hard!!

    Granted. A person named Corruption is immediately teleported to the sun. I wish for every quality book to receive an equally quality screen adaptation that is consumable in every human language.

    Granted, it only exists in the Tower of Alexandria. I wish for the Ebony Warrior to not be a horribly Broken boss fight.

    I'm not the only person who enjoys thinking about writing my book more than the actual act of doing so, right?

      I love thinking about the plot for my book way more then having to actually type that plot up and make it sound good.

      I love writing little scenes with the characters that don’t matter to the plot and won’t even show up in the actual book waaay more than writing important stuff.

      You are not the only one. I just spent 50 dollars on a second TEMU haul just so I can dress up as a character that I haven’t written much of at all… she just lives in my head and drawings…

    Granted. You hear cheesy love songs every time you get in a fight. I wish for modern mainstream music to be more quality.

    Three times in my life I have been so furiously enraged that red started creeping in at the edge of my vision: learning that my brother was being bullied, hearing the cruel way my sister was being talked to by a guy at my youth group, and last night when I watched Schindler's List.

    Part of me is glad I wasn't around in WWII, because I would have committed war crimes. Specifically the one about mistreatment of enemy prisoners.

    Storm Nazis.

    As we know oil is one of the Ten Essences. But would you even be able to soulcast insulin? It's been a while since I read SA, so perhaps I'm misremembering, but can't something only be soulcast if it's one of - or a variant of - one of the Ten Essences?

    Opinion of the day: all epic fantasy - if/when it receives an adaptation - should be adapted in an animated form, as live-action cannot properly display all aspects of a fantastical world.

    I do. I've been spending it playing Skyrim, writing, and listening to a DnD actual play. TPBM has never played a video game.
