I FINALLY finished chapter seven of my book. This session was 304 words, and my manuscript currently totals at 39,332 words. Now I've just got to decide what chapter eight will be about, and what it'll be titled.

Session zero for my sister's campaign was last night! It went really well, and I immediately began fulfilling the stereotype of the note-taker. (I asked three times for NPC names, twice about location names, and once whether or not the main export of dwarven clans in a mountain range called the Spine was metals, precious or otherwise.) I wrote all of it down in my fancy leather LotR notebook my gf got me for Christmas.
We, being myself, my brothers (Talenel and Gaz (character names)), and my sister's bf (C (idk his character's name yet)), discussed why our characters are working together. Long story short, my brothers' characters happened to head out of a city together, while my and C's character have been traveling together for a few weeks, and are also leaving the city. We then get jumped by people from Gaz's thieves' guild, who assumed that the four of us, walking near Gaz, are with him. Wrong place, wrong time. That is, I suppose, how session one will begin next week.
After all that, she ran a short combat encounter with a Barbed Devil, so that we could test our characters. We discovered two things: Gaz is terrible at positioning (he kept moving away from the BD, then immediately going back into melee range) (it's his first time playing. Having a battlemap will probably help a lot), and Talenel should never ever have liquid core dice. He kept getting distracted by my sister's dice.
