  1. Sunraiser is Elhokar's Shardblade. I didnt say anything about Honor or Honorblades. It's odd if it's a Shardblade, made from a radiant spren, to have all 10 orders' glyphs since it would've belonged to a single order. However, seeing its hilt in the double eye of the almighty, the symbol of the Knights Radiant, makes me think it was the first Knights blade or something.
  2. Yes. They basically are the radiant order glyphs. Here's a screenshot from the Glyphs Coppermind page.
  3. So I was staring at the WoK leatherbound deciding if it was finally time to put it in my cart, as one does. And I noticed the central sword of the double eye of the Almighty looks an awful lot like Elhokar's Shardblade Sunraiser. Might this be a clue as to why his 'blade had all 10 glyphs of the radiant orders?
  4. Personally, I think this is likely far enough in the future that Retribution is no longer a problem and that Roshar is likely unified. Scadrial and Roshar are often talked about as singular powers.
  5. It is highly implied by the gray armor, the questioning about laws regarding threats on his life, mention of legal justification to treat them as enemies, and though tenuous as many of the order glyphs could be described similarly, the description of the glyph as a bird in flight could be indicating Skybreaker.
  6. The Skybreaker in part one of IoE was said to have arrived on his own and under his own propulsion. Can Skybreakers somehow modulate air pressure the same way Windrunners can? I was under the impression it was a mix of Gravitation and Adhesion. I thought maybe he could be of both orders, but his threatening actions don't seem in line with Windrunners. Very side note: While I'm sure none of the Malwish present on FotS were full mistborn, him being unafraid to show up on his own while a whole ship of Scadrians was there leads me to give another point to Radiants beating Mistborn in a fight.
  7. Top moment was easily Adolin reuniting with Sureblood's musicspren.
  8. I personally think it's referring to Hoid's lesson at the start of WaT but that could also be referring to the Wind.
  9. I've previously posted that I think Kaladin is the Black Piper referenced in Cenn's death rattle. After Wind and Truth I'm even more convinced. I think Kal's herald persona will be The Black Piper based on his dark flute from Hoid and his curse will be "Kal's Black Pipe!" Thoughts?
  10. I get that they're not on Braize being tortured anymore, but do we really think the Oathpact and position of Herald doesn't carry weight anymore? It wouldn't have been a sacrifice on Kal's part if not. Also, they specifically say they'll take a few months to heal, but they will return to fight. There will be at least one more Return. But just as Bridge Four was Kaladin's "one more try" I doubt this Return will truly be the end of the Oathpact. 1. I don't think we know that they're in the SR. They could be on a renewed Alaswha. They used to go to Braize, not the SR. 2. Time is slower where they are. Months to Roshar's years and Cosmere's decades.
  11. Blitzed through WaT and now doing the relisten. At the beginning, we see Navani trying to compromise with The Sibling by domesticating flamespren in an oven and convincing them to go in and out of modern fabrials. Is this foreshadowing to how we'll see the Oathpact evolve to swap people in and out of the burden to help relieve the strain on 10 people to spread it over many?
  12. I don't think he's a quite as big a hypocrite as everyone is saying. He was willing to go through it all in RoW when he thought it was the end. If Cultivation hadn't turned, I think he'd have gone through with it.
  13. The oath was to spare Kharbranth born people for two generations. I know the wording seems like it would be broken by harming them, but all indication in WaT implies that's not the case. He doesn't mention destroying Kharbranth would break an oath, but that because of the deal they were his (Taravangian's) to do with as he pleased. I just think BS might've written it in a way that people are pinning all their theories on to be disappointed with how it'll plays out on the page.
  14. I feel the wording in WaT doesn't support that they must be unharmed, but rather that the intent was to leave them alone to Taravangian who now as Odium could treat them like Gavinor if he wished. They are his and under his control. I don't feel the end would have said he was mad at Dalinar if he'd saved them just to wriggle out of the consequences of destroying Kharbranth. He saved them because he loved them and wasn't willing to lose them.
  15. For a second I thought the thread was gonna be Kaladin's second chance at a redhead.
  16. At the end, when she realizes she's stuck and cradles her stomach, are we supposed to infer a pregnancy? Cause I sure did.
  17. I was under the understanding that it was Mishram.
  18. Hi all, I was lucky enough to snag one of the numbered copies of BoM on Light Day. Anyone know how many copies there were? The number doesn't have a x/y. It's just a single number.
  19. They have access to a Seon. I think they'll be able communicate just fine.
  20. My theory about it pointing to Kaladin as the Black Piper is based on some stormlight 5 released chapters. Spoilers: Not to mention the flute Wit gave Kaladin was a dark wood that looked black and he was literally holding Cenn in the palm of his hands. I don't know if his position as Black Piper is him ascending to Honor and really watching over them or just a saying like him being a watcher at the rim, but I think the Black Piper is Kaladin. Plus, like half of our rattles reference Kaladin. Odds are this one is too.
  21. So I just recently finished a reread (listen) of WoK. And from the start I've been fascinated with the death rattles. This time through I was listening and I heard this death rattle It seems to reference Shalash who has been defacing art of herself. Shalash, whose divine attribute is creative. What I found interesting about this death rattle is that the subject was "known for his elegant songs". Seems a little bit of a nice Coincidence that an artist had a death rattle vision about the divinely creative herald. So I started looking at more death rattles... again. First one to catch my attention: Clearly about Kaladin and the subject was a guardsmen. I believe that those who have death rattle visions are in some way Connected to the subjects of the visions. Now, there is a big problem with this theory but the same problem is what prevents it from being debunked. You can't prove a negative. You can't take the death rattle about Kal protecting Elhokar and say a mother of four isn't Connected to Kal in some way. We don't know enough about her. Maybe a mother's protectiveness is enough. There are plenty of loose connections I can make but none quite so strong as the two above. What do you think? Am I on to something? Are there any death rattles that you think might have a larger Connection? As an aside, this theory strengthens my belief that Kaladin is the Black Piper Cenn talks about in his rattle.
  22. Wow, that could be a point against the child champion theory. Actually there's a rattle "the burdens of nine become mine..." that seems to depict Taln being abandoned to hold the Oathpact on his own.
  23. I'm of the opinion the Iriali started in UTol and their religion is based on Virtuosity splintering herself, being more recent than the shattering.
  24. Let's get down to business, to survive bridge runs.
  25. So I'm actually a Stormfather believer, but I love the theory. I just can't get over Gavilar's glimpse of the Stormfather being so similar to a description of a shard. I'm of the belief we're dealing with the differences between Stormfather True and Tanafather. However, there's one piece of evidence that I haven't seen brought up in favor of stormfaker that needs to be addressed. Why weren't there any rumors of Gavilar going mad at the end? Everyone talked of him becoming more religious, but not mad. Why weren't his visions making him thrash and babble in highstorms before he could ask for them?
