    She knelt down and put a hand on each of his shoulders. “Lukas, what happened to you before you came here? Who is ‘she’?” ”I know it’s scary, but I promise I’ll protect you.”

    She’d kept her tin burning as she slept and woke up as he approached, holding her knife out.

    She smiled. “That’s called chouta.”

    She smiled, grabbed some chouta, and squatted down. ”Try this,” she said as she handed it to him.

    “Okay, well… Let’s do this.” She walked him over to the chouta table.

    She smiled. “Surprising, isn’t it. So, what do you want to try first?”

    “Well… you might get sick from too much, but… No one will make you sick.”

    “There’s a lot of different types of food up there, and you can try as many as you want!”

    She led him down to the cafeteria and pointed to the buffet tables. “You see those?”

    She smiled. "You don't have to apologize. I'm just not a morning person." She pushed herself upright. "Did you sleep well?"

    She slowly blinked awake, her eyes partially closed. "I am now."

    "Good night, Lukas," she whispered as he fell asleep. She wasn't far behind.

    "Of course you can." She put him under the covers and joined him, hugging him tightly.

    Alright. Me, @Cash67, @Edema Rue, @shortcake, and @Ancient Elantrian are going on the Oregon Trail.

    Left April 1 as a carpenter.

    April 29: Shortcake got a broken arm

    May 26: Cash has dysentery

    May 30: Shortcake got better

    June 1: Elan has cholera

    June 5: Cash got better

    June 9: Elan got better

    June 12: Elan got bitten by a snake

    June 21: Elan got better

    June 26: Cash has a broken arm

    June 27: Shortcake has typhoid fever

    July 3: Elan has cholera (again)

    July 5: Shortcake got better

    July 12: Shortcake got bit by a snake, Elan got better

    July 5: Elan got typhoid fever and seven sets of clothes were stolen. Out of ten. Two people are naked apparently. Now I need to get more clothes.

    July 25: Elan got better. Somewhere between those two I traded for clothes

    July 27: Cash got better

    August 8: Cash has dysentery (again)

    August 16: Shortcake has a fever

    August 18: Cash got better

    August 25: Shortcake got better

    We all made it to the end healthy! Thanks Eddie for staying out of trouble the whole time

      In terms of game mechanics though I think the inventory only counts spare clothes. So you technically have +4 clothes on the persons themselves.
