    "No, definitely not." She put her back to the side of the hollow. "Would you mind staying on my left side?"

    "I won't, I promise." She noticed the scar and after a moment of hesitation pushed up one of the hoodie sleeves. "Look. I have some too."

    She extinguished her tin, which dullened the pained a little bit. She pulled her hand from her ear, and there was blood on it.

    She pulled her hand back, frowning slightly but still looking concerned for him. "What's wrong? Why are you scared?"

    She flinched. "That was dumb," she muttered.

    "Uh, didn't catch that last part. Could you say that again?" She rubbed her ear.

    "Hey, it's okay. I'm not going to hurt you." She reached out her hand to him, palm up. "Do you want one?"

    Since her left side was nearer to him, she could. "What don't you understand? The truce?" she asked.

    She looked back, saw him slow, and grabbed his wrist. She pulled him into the hollow, keeping her right hand over that ear.

    "Huh?" She had no clue what he said, but followed his pointing and saw the hollow. She nodded and started running towards it.

    "Look for something in the ground to hide in! Cave, hole, just something out of the open!" She flinched as lightning struck somewhere to their right. She put her hand over her right ear, which had begun to ring.

    Her lungs stung, more so from the tin. She looked back at Tinker. "Truce for now?!" she yelled.

    She sighed, stepped away from Pic, and opened the door not the dorr stupid fingers. "Hey, Almond, Lundyn, and... the other kid." She raised her voice at the end so it was kind of a question but not really.
