  1. Instead of doom, Odium+Ruin could be nihilism (hating everything, life is meaningless, destroy everything) Instead of retreat, Mercy+Honor could be chivalry (having honor, showing mercy on people) instead of cruel irony, Odium+Whimsy could be insanity (hatred for no reason, being irrational, being passionate about things for whimsical reasons)
  2. I don't agree with all of your combinations, but it must have taken a lot of effort to create all of this and it's very cool. Great job! I wonder what shards will combine in the future of the Cosmere...
  3. I know they're Rosharan terms, but I thought it would be fun to come up with names anyway. I guess Broken Sky does make more sense to be Ashyn or Braize from a geographical standpoint, but I don't know why only one of those would be adjacent when both of them are geographically, and the name always sounded more like Taldain to me. Who knows though, maybe it'll make more sense when we finally get The Silence Divine.
  4. We know that the expanses of the Vapors, Densities, and Vibrance are Scadrial, Sel, and Nalthis, respectively, and Broken Sky is probably Taldain. What could other planets' "expanse names" be? Here are some I've come up with: Threnody: Expanse of the Shadows Canticle: Expanse of the Brilliance/Expanse of the Inferno Roshar: Expanse of the Spheres
  5. Yeah I know these things are a stretch, and I was half-sarcastic, but it's still fun to think about.
  6. Welcome to the 17th Shard!

  7. At first I read this as "Is Shardplate Addictive?" and I was very confused. I think other affects such as being a Thug would contribute to your overall strength and combine with your shardplate.
  8. These are all of the possibilities I think it could be: Mythos (less likely) Grand Apparatus (More likely) Silverlight (less likely) Kingmaker Something New?
  9. I made a cryptic in Desmos (graphing calculator). I took someone else's equation and changed it around to make it look like a cryptic. I don't really know where to put this topic but here it is: https://www.desmos.com/calculator/4rklg9ect0
  10. MAJOR TOTK SPOILERS FOR EVERYTHING ok so hear me out: TotK copied WoT. First of all, there are mentions to the "age of legends" throughout the game Zelda is literally the Dragon Reborn because she was REBORN as a DRAGON. The symbol at the spot where you get recall looks suspiciously like the Flame of Tar Valon (Dragon's fang? I can't remember what side it's on) The gloom that appears on the surface has bubbled up from the depths like the dark one's bubbles in the pattern. The master sword is Callandor. And finally, one of the main symbols for the game is a double ouroboros, with 2 dragons eating each others tails, just like the symbol for the wheel of time with a regular ouroboros. has anyone found any other similarities?
  11. Hoid: (obvious reasons) Gavilar: Cunning and can lead an army Invention: We don't know much about him but he can probably jump start us into the modern era and he's also a god
  12. I think autonomy will be back, although maybe not in as big of a role as before because originally Autonomy was planned for era 3 and AoL was planned to be a stand-alone book. Harmony will probably turn into Discord during/in the middle of era 3, because that seems like too big of a change to happen off-screen. Roshar will definitely get introduced, and I hope nightblood comes to Scadrial. There will probably be a cold war between the Northern and Southern Scadrians (I think I saw a WoB about this, but I can't find it), with Kelsier trying to manipulate both sides so that Scadrial doesn't get nuked out of existence. I think the end of the series will have Scadrial unified and starting to colonize planets with a power struggle against Roshar. What mistborn serial killer WoBs are you talking about?
  13. Doesn't Abrasion get rid of that though? Abrasion would get rid of the friction from wind resistance, but eventually you would be going so fast that the air wouldn't be able to get out of the way fast enough, and you would be slowed down by pushing through the sheer mass of compressed air in front of you. (at least I think that's how it works; I'm not a physicist.)
  14. 1. Taravangian 2. Taravangian 3. Taravangian 4. Taravangian
  15. If you were sitting in a shard's perpendicularity, could you burn chromium with duralumin to kill a shard? What would happen to the investiture?
  16. Granted, but it's 10 sizes too small. I wish for all the powers of Hoid.
  17. Proof: Hoid swallows lerasium, which is really just a fire flower. Theory: Uranium is Adonalsium's god metal.
  18. I do now What is the best color of food?
  19. What would happen if you pulled a shard (and its investiture) from the spiritual realm into the physical realm? I don't know how you would actually do that, I'm just interested in what would happen if you did. Would it create an investiture black hole? Would it kill the shard?
  20. Could a Mistborn burn aluminum to get rid of poisonous metals like lead, mercury, arsenic, etc.?
  21. If you gathered up enough anti-investiture, would it be possible to create an anti-shard? Would you need an intent?
  22. When My Little Pony gets added to the Cosmere
  23. I think the reason so many people insult violins is that violin is one of the worst instruments to be bad at. If you are bad at violin you sound worse than if you were bad at another instrument. People think about that that and don't remember that violins can sound amazing if you are good at playing them.
