Yeah, I didn't know when Warbreaker fell relative to Mistborn, and Ruin giving up a DS doesn't make that much sense, so I guess that part of the theory doesn't work. I still think there's a DS related to Destroy or Decay, though. To clarify on the Survive DS: I don't think Kelsier got it in the pits. I think he got it when Leras dies and he takes up Preservation.

I haven't looked at the timeline so I don't really know if it matches or not. About your theory of Rysn's DS being Hoid's: We know from TSM that Nomad gets Hoid's Dawnshard sometime in Stormlight, but I don't really see a reason for Rysn to give it to him. That would also mean that Hoid would have been the one to put it in the mural, and I don't know why he would do that either. It's definitely a possibility though. I've seen some theories that use "Connect" as a dawnshard, and I think that fits very well; maybe that could be a DS instead of Create. I'm fairly certain that one is Survive, though.

I hadn't thought of it that way. Szeth is the closest I can think of for someone who could pick up the titles, but even he isn't a good fit.

I might have misspelled the title. Anyway, ask anything!

That show sounds awesome.

I want to figure out where/what the Dawnshards are. (Sorry in advance if this is hard to read) We know that Hoid, and later Nomad, have held a Dawnshard. Rysn holds the Dawnshard of Change. I'm guessing Survive is a dawnshard held by Preservation and was passed to Kelsier in SH, because this matches Preservation's intent very closely. That leaves 1. I was also thinking about how there were 17 people at the shattering, the shards + Hoid. Four of them probably held dawnshards to shatter Ado. I think one was Hoid, one was Leras/Preservation, and one was Cultivation (the DS was brought through her perpendicularity to Aimia and change matches her intent pretty closely). Hoid's dawnshard might be "Create" or something, which would definitely be opposed to violence. As a counterargument, all 4 DS were referred to as the powers of creation, so having one be Create wouldn't really make sense, but maybe that's the DS that's different from the others. The last dawnshard either was or is held by a shard. We just need to find a shard that seems to be more primal and fundamental then the others. That's right, I'm talking about Ruin. There are 2 possibilities. Harmony holds the Dawnshard of "Destroy", which is why his intent is pushing towards Discord, or someone else has it. Who else do we know who likes to Destroy? That's right, Nightblood. Per a WoB, we know that Nightblood itself isn't a Dawnshard, but what if it was created using one? I think Vasher or Vivienna held the DS of Destroy to make Nightblood. A WoB says that Endowment was more involved than normal in Nighblood's creation, so maybe she got it from Ruin early on and gave it to Vasher. After all, a Dawnshard is just an extremely powerful command, and Nightblood was created using a command. Or maybe all this will get disproven in Stormlight 5. I can't wait!

I was looking at the death rattles and I came across this one: He must pick it up, the fallen title! The tower, the crown, and the spear! The fallen title might be the shard of Honor. The spear probably represents Kaladin, the crown Dalinar, and the tower Navani. The other 2 are bondsmiths so does this mean that Kaladin will become the third? Maybe he goes to the Nightwatcher along the way to Shinovar or something? The spear could also represent another bridgeman. I don't quite know what this means, but it seems interesting.

What would happen if one of the Charred were left out in the sun?
SPECTRE120 replied to Nomad8's question in Cosmere Q&A
This could be a much more morbid system of breaths. You would put a charred in the sun to get a 2x cinderheart. Putting a 2x charred in the sun would get you a 3x cinderheart, etc. It would be like breaths except you have to force a charred to stay in the sun and then put their cinderheart in yourself. I'm glad ruin and endowment aren't combined. -
Hoid wants to get investiture from all 16 shards and then put them in Nightblood so he can swing it and kill half the universe.

I just hope Hoid finally gets his instant noodles.

There are a lot of posts asking who would win, and it always comes down to a Scadrian and a Rosharan. It might be mistborn, twinborn, 3rd ideal radiant, full radiant, etc., but most people have one side they usually agree with, no matter the characteristics. I want to settle the debate once and for all. In general, who do you think would win?

I have some recommendations, but I'm not great at writing summaries, so you might just want to look up the books if you're interested in them: Licanius Trilogy - James Islington - Epic Fantasy The Shadow of what was lost An Echo of things to come The Light of all that falls It's hard to explain what the series is about, but here is what I can say without spoiling things: The world used to be ruled by Augurs who could see the future and their followers the gifted, but their visions eventually stopped working and there was a civil war resulting in the death of all augurs and the gifted's powers being limited. The Boundary, which has sealed away a great evil for thousands of years, is weakening, and Davian, the main character, goes on a quest to figure out what is happening. There are 2 different magic systems and the story is very epic, and spans thousands of years. The story is very well crafted and things that might not make sense at the beginning fit perfectly into the overall story. The character development is very good, and you can see characters go through complete transformations. The only critique I have is that some parts of the books feel rushed. I think this series should have been 4 books instead of 3, but it is still a great series. Kingkiller Chronicles - Patrick Rothfuss - High Fantasy The Name of the Wind The Wise Man's Fear The world in this book is very fleshed out and real-feeling and has a good magic system. The books have the main character, Kvothe, telling his life story to people, with interludes throughout the book in the present day. Kvothe has become a legendary figure but now is just an innkeeper and he's telling people how he got that way. The series tells how Kvothe went from being a travelling entertainer, to a boy on the streets, to a scholar at a university, to an adventurer. There are lots of unsolved mysteries in this series and lots of theorizing to do. People have been waiting for the third book in the series, the Doors of Stone, for over 10 years, and it probably isn't coming out anytime soon either. Blackthorn Key - Kevin Sands - Historical Fiction/Mystery The Blackthorn Key Mark of the Plague The Assassin's Curse Call of the Wraith The Traitor's Blade The Raven's Revenge The books take place in 16th century England and the main character is an apothecary's apprentice who gets involved with assassins and secret societies. He has to solve clues and puzzles. The firs 3 books are very good and then they get worse from there, but all 6 books are decent. Ready Player One - Ernest Cline - Sci-Fan Ready Player One Ready Player Two The whole world is a terrible place to live because of poverty, global warming, wars, etc., so most people spend all their time in this virtual reality world called the Oasis. The man who created it died and created an extremely elaborate puzzle/competition and whoever solves it gets control of the Oasis. The story is about this boy who's trying to win the competition and there's an evil corporation trying to beat him. There's a second book too but in my opinion it's much worse than the first.
