    The Root Dragon, who's name is Beery, by the way, looked back to Rue. She sighed. "No, they have no idea how you work. Just...go for a fly, okay? I think that they're trying to do something important." Beery flies out a conveniently placed window.

    BEERY! HEEL!” Rue says, and the dragon comes to her sadly. “I know Platypi are delicious, but I promise you can eat some later. This is Phillip. We don’t eat him. But eat Unintelligable. He’s bullying you, and that’s not okay.” The dragon looks considerably happier.

    Luckily, she was unaware of this. Rue decided that she should probably stop drinking root for now though. It was an odd decision, to be sure, but she was standing upside down on the ceiling and the world was spinning in circles. It was a good time for odd decisions.

    Rue and Him were besties. They even shared their weird hats and shoes. She suddenly realized that she’s inadvertently changed sides simply for root. Was that addiction? Nah.

    I…by the other attackers I meant the other people storming the fortress…but okay! Rue was very disturbed by this, but she knew that the tacks were only a minor offense. They could still be friends. “Would you like a cup of root? We can wear silly shoes too, if it makes you happy.” And so it was that the root cult doubled in size.
