  1. Clinic: Dining Hall Rue cursed and leapt backwards, away from the tendril. "Absolutely not." Clinic: Lobby Disguising a sigh as a deep breath, Tal smiled encouragingly at her. "Just start with a little. It's best to drink several bottles that size a day, but don't worry about that yet. For now, just take a couple more sips."
  2. Clinic: Lobby "Of course," Tal says, smiling kindly. "It's very nice, actually." Clinic: Dining Hall Rue watched it, fascinated.
  3. Hehehe...sorry to double post but...ugh. I had my audition for All Shook Up today, and it literally couldn't have gone worse if I had dropped dead halfway through.
  4. Clinic: Lobby "Nope," Tal said. "Excellent, you're awake. Is there a reason you were passed out?" Clinic: Dining Hall Rue discreetly stopped touching the table. She seized the source, ready just in case something happened. She snorted. "Used to be. Don't tell me how to do my job."
  5. Insanity, a voice whispered in the back of Rue's mind. If you let him stay as he is, he'll hurt you and everyone else, and it will be your fault. Rue didn't say anything, but watched him intently.
  6. Clinic: Dining Hall "You can always study things you don't have a talent for. I wasn't sure." Clinic: Dining Hall Rue scooted slightly away from TAAron, disguising it by dropping her fork. Clinic: Lobby "Then you'll die either way!" Tal said cheerfully. "Except that you won't. We have the best healers from...everywhere." Clinic: Lobby Tal walked over to the unconscious person and sighed. "Why do people never listen when I tell them not to do stupid things?" He bops Wit on the head. "Wake up and tell me what's wrong."
  7. Clinic: Lobby Tal sighed. “The water isn’t going to hurt you, Violet. Just have one drink.” Clinic: Dining Hall Rue scowled at him. “No. I was asking if you had suggestions, fool. Of course I can do it on my own.”
  8. Clinic: Lobby Tal groans. “You know what else is scary? Dying. And that’s what’s going to happen to you if you keep trying to live like this.” Clinic: Dining Hall “Not long,” Rue said. “I might be able to do it in a few hours…I’m not sure. Nameless?” @The Aspiring Archivist @Nameless*
  9. “It would be…perhaps…I could start infusing it with power the way I would an angreal, but not so full…it might not take long at all.” Rue looks up and smiles. “We should try it.”
  10. “I could certainly try,” Rue said, sounding skeptical. “How large do we want them to be?”
  11. “I’m not sure. I’ve never worked with another form or magic before.”
  12. Clinic: Lobby Tal eyes Emma. “I could magically hydrate her for now, but that would be fixing the symptom, not the problem…” @The Wandering Wizard Clinic: Dining Hall “It depends on the material,” Rue says. “And on how focused we are, and how strong we make them, and…making a ter’angreal is complicated. Probably a couple weeks, to be safe?”
  13. Clinic: Dining Hall Rue nods slowly. “It…yes, it would.” Clinic: Lobby “And what’s wrong with water? You need it to survive, you know.”
  14. Eddie’s already gone. She goes out, past the edge of the village, and sits. Thoughts swirl through her head. Her mother’s voice: Useless…powerless…she made me powerless! It was her fault…all her fault…she was protecting me…she wanted to destroy me! Eddie takes a breath. I am more than what she has made me. I was created in a place she has never seen, a city like she has never imagined…Tall skyscrapers fill her mind, proud lights and shameless graffiti…This power is not too much for me. I am worthy, even if she never believed it. Eddie continues meditating, ignoring the snow that melts around her. She find the center of the burning and experimentally creates a tiny flame on her hand. It dances, seeming almost joyful. She concentrates, and it turns a deep purple. Eddie grins, then flinched, but nothing happens. She closes her eyes again, feeling all the heat in all the world. The heat of bodies, of a thousand fires, of electricity and the sun. She concentrates, and every fire goes out. Then she concentrates harder, and they’re all back. Eddie takes one last breath. She feels out further, further…an empty patch of space. She pours heat into it, more and more, boiling gas that turns into a tiny star, which grows and grows. She gasps for breath, suddenly realizing she’s floating in the air. She’s covered in fire, a huge ball of pure white light, and she screams, letting it flow out into her new star. Finally, it ends, and Eddie drops to the ground. She’s now wearing a dress made entirely of purple fire, with little sparks of lightning exploding on the skirt. On her head is a tiny, black iron circlet with a single jewel that looks more like a star than a diamond. Eddie takes a breath of smoky and smiles, walking back towards the inn. (Hours have passed).
  15. Clinic: Lobby Tal eyed Emma. “See the problem?” @The Wandering Wizard Clinic: Dining Hall “I have…some experience,” Rue says hesitantly, taking a bite of her chouta.
  16. Clinic: Lobby Tal points at Violet. Clinic: Dining Hall Rue waits for TAAron’s answer, curious. Clinic: Lobby “Okay, okay,” Tal says. “What do you want to drink?”
  17. “You don’t understand,” Eddie says, struggling to keep her tone even. “I can’t.” Eddie suddenly stands up. “I’ll be back,” she says. “Don’t…don’t follow me. Please.” She runs out the door.
  18. “She helps run this place. Now, what can I do for you?”
  19. “Ah…not all the rooms have numbers…his is Ψιτ.” “I know, I know,” Tal says soothingly. “I’m sure this is all a misunderstanding. Let’s just wait for Emma to come help you, alright?” @The Wandering Wizard
  20. Eddie feels a deep pang of regret deep in her soul. “I’m sorry to cause you this pain, Princess,” she whispers, tears in her eyes. Somewhere far off, a volcano erupts.
  21. “Yup,” Tal says, handing him(?) a key, all the while keeping his eyes on Violet. “Turn left. It’s number 8406kG.”
  22. “Mmm…” Eddie says. “Lightning…” there’s a flash of light outside their window, followed almost immediately by a huge clap of thunder. “Oops. I let myself be curious.”
  23. “Probably not,” Tal said. “I don’t want to do anything before Emma gets here.” “Oh…memory loss. Let’s get you to your room now, okay?” Tal looks over to him. “Right here!” He throws a key at him. “Just…uh…walk until the key gets hot then start trying doors. I’m a little busy.”
  24. “I can’t,” Eddie said. “I’m not a creature of the wind and water. If I get angry for even a moment, even one second…” Her eyes start to sparkle for a moment, and her bed bursts into flames and collapses. Her gaze fades back to oblivion. “That wasn’t angry,” she says distantly. “That was curious.”
  25. Tal sighed and pressed a button on his jacket that opened up a communication link to Emma. “I’ve got someone here that may need help…can you lend a hand?” @The Wandering Wizard
