Clinic: Lobby "Yes we're heading somewhere, Emma can do whatever she wants." Tal sighs. My shift is almost over. So close. Rue takes another bite of chouta. If you don't watch out you'll end up dead.

Rue turns back to her chouta. “Better safe than sorry.”

Rue scowls at him. “Lovely. Another one. “I don’t need to be polite to people who would gladly destroy anything put in their path.”

Wren shrugs. It’s not that I dislike it, I just said it was strange. It’s a very nice world.

"I'm not rude," Rue snaps. "I'm careful." Rue points at a line.

If that's what you want, we can do it, Wren signs perfectly. It's a strange world.

Clinic: Lobby "Right, right, sorry," Tal said. "I get words mixed up sometimes. She has memory problems we need to deal with, and you have water problems." He winks at the child. "Emma is in charge of this place. Kind of." Clinic: Dining Hall Rue looks at the new people, thinks really hard about being friendly, and decides against it. "What do you want?" She snaps at them.

Well, you see, the relationship between me and Athena is the same as Doof and Perry... She could show up at my house at 2am to steal a rocket ship and I'd sit up, tell her not to scratch it, then put my retainer back in and go back to sleep. Also, neither of us knows what to do when we don't have each other to hate.

Meanwhile: Wren nods. "It's them. In we go, then?"

Clinic: Lobby "We're going up to the medical wing so that you can rest. This one is...well, she's a child, and like you she doesn't remember how she got here, so we're going to do our best to help her." @shortcake Tal also presses a button on his coat, again. "Sorry to bother you, Emma," he says, "But...there's a child here. She looks about 10, has wings but no memory...I'm really bad with kids..." Clinic: Dining Hall Rue looked at TAAron. "I guess we can start, then...what do we want them to look like?"

Eddie grinned. "Sounds good. Where are we headed after today?" Meanwhile: Wren entered the town, eyeing several patches of scorched earth suspiciously.

Meanwhile: Wren looked up at the sun and smiled. It was a good day to be alive. "Yup," Eddie said. "I guess...you can eat now?"

Clinic: Lobby "Okay, okay, that's okay! We'll take care of you...we'll figure it out, yeah? For now, though, follow me, okay?" Tal walks quickly back towards Violet, not wanting her to get lost. He's being followed by a child. (Unless the child doesn't follow)

Eddie nods, an eyebrow raised. "That's...really helpful. Thank you." Eddie doesn't notice her hand, but nods. "Yeah, breakfast is good." She walks out of the room and towards the stairs.

Eddie also flushes. "Thanks," she mumbles. "No, I didn't," Eddie says sharply. "I accidentally burned a single bed...which we'll probably have to pay for...but the building was fine."

Clinic: Lobby "That's quite a walk. What's the last thing you remembe--" Tal hears the door open. "Terribly sorry, I have to get this. I am the doorman." Tal sees the girl. "Oh dear...any chance your parents are nearby?" He asks hopelesssly.

"I'm not going to burn the inn down," Eddie says flatly. "I'm fine." She picks him up, off her lap, and sets him on a pile of (now cool) ashes. She does seem to be fine, though of course she's still wearing the purple fire/lightning dress AND THE WHOLE OUTFIT I DESCRIBED REALLY BEAUTIFULLY LAST NIGHT

Clinic: Lobby "Of course," Tal says kindly. He gestures for her to follow and starts walking. "Tell me," he says conversationally, "How did you come to be here?"

Eddie looks over at them. "Let her rest," she tells the platypus. "She needs it."

Clinic: Lobby Tal sighs. "Maybe we'll move you into the medical wing, at least until we get this problem sorted out...would you like to make your own way there, or should I lead you?"

Eddie slowly sits up, her firey dress glowing a little brighter now that she's awake.

Clinic: Lobby "Everyone here is unusual," Tal said flatly. "You could always try the dining hall, though, there's usually a few people in there. Or you could wander around...or really do anything. You'll find people whether you want to or not." "Then just go rest, and we'll try again when you wake up."
