Pilly ate a tree. It tasted like artificial watermelon. Pilly got very angry and thumped its tail, causing a small earthquake.

Rue cursed and tried to heal him. Things would be a whole lot easier if I were better at this... Tal nodded. "We have a few."

Pilly nodded aggressively.

“Sure,” Tal said. “I’d warn you, though, the clinic uses a lot of water.” Rue was already gone, through a gateway to where she found Nameless on the ground.

"We could try both of those things," Tal agreed, "But it's better to be safe than sorry. And I have a hunch that it'll take a lot more work to filter this poisoned water. I could barely even tell it was there when I tested it." Rue felt it through the bond and groaned. What... she looked around at the zombies. "Sorry," she called to Arget. "I'll be back."

"Right," Tal said patiently, "but in a modern world, it'll be so polluted that we'll have trouble using it. I think I know of one we could use, though."

Basement: Tal nodded. "That would probably work, assuming we can find a world without too many humans." Random Hallway Rue watched the interaction serenely.

Basement: After a moment, a faint grinding noise starts, then stops. Tal opened his eyes. "Well, now none of the clinic has access to water...lovely. We'll want to find a backup quickly."

*hugs back* But it's okay!! Because now we get to go snow hiking which is a lot more fun than regular hiking!!

"Yeah," Tal said. "It should technically be someone else's job to do it, but...poisoned water kind of throws a lot of people out of the loop. Just a second." He closes his eyes, and the water tanks slowly lose their faint glow. @Argenti

"Tangible bodies really are a pain," Tal said mildly. He started doing something to the water, making it glow and twist. "For stars sake..." Tal poked him again. This time he didn't go back to his room, but instead to a small, empty concrete room in the other basement. This one will keep him there.

Tal frowned at him. "Calm down, friend." He rubbed his temples. "Yeah, uh...yeah. They'll figure it out. Weird things happen with that group all the time...they'll probably be okay. Maybe. Uh..yeah. Yeah. Water."
