    The bats fly back, easily staying away from his attacks. Except the one he punches, which struggles to fly away. As soon as he stops moving, the bats cover him again.

    Several of the bats start chomping on him. One of them punches him. They avoid the seawater, though it doesn’t seem to actively hurt them. The bats…don’t respond, except to keep attacking.

    There are angels surrounding you, my friends, even when you can’t see them, even when you don’t know they’re there. A lot of you aren’t religious, but I think there are angels surrounding you anyway. Sometimes they’re just people who care. And sometimes they’re…well, literal angels. Keep living, keep trying, keep breathing. You are not alone.

    Anyway…you’re all wonderful. It’s a beautiful life we live, even though it doesn’t often seem that way. Even in the darkest moments…there is light! There is hope! If I could take all that I feel and give it to you I would. Take some time for yourself today, mkay? Go outside. Pet an animal. Breathe. Just breathe. Remember that you are a person, not a machine. Remember the joys of being alive.

      I really like 11. I remember a motivational video I saw about a dude who was supposed to be Mike Tyson's warm-up match, but ended up beating him. The message of the video was that if your 'why' is greater than your 'how' you will succeed.

    Rue was quiet for a moment. "You really don't think they'd just...go, if given the chance to leave with no consequences?" Tal shrugged. "The clinic is...a rather unique sort of place." Tal grinned. "Good, isn't it?"

    Dilsha nodded. "Good. Let's be on our way, then." She kicked her horse into a trot and started for the capital. As she did, a voice said into her head, You want me to fight this other spirit, then? Of course, she replied. If you could convince it to serve me, that would be ideal, but I'll settle for letting you destroy it. No spirit wants to serve a mortal... Then kill it. I will be Queen, even if I have to destroy this country to do it.
