  1. "I'm afraid there is no time. I wish we could help, but we need to stop the plotbla- I mean, we really need to get there. As I believe I mentioned, it's quite far away." "I know who it is. I just think he could be the muffin man." "Are you sure you're not the muffin man?"
  2. I was there when the old magic was written
  3. "Huh. Are you the muffin man?" "Far away, where the Brave Adventurers meet."
  4. Eddie tells me I'm a fish
  5. I totally forgot she left until a few days ago when I was talking to her. I'll text her
  6. "Not a clue. Perhaps we could find it on our way to our next destination?" "So. Are you in?" "He was pretty important... but he's dead, and not important anymore."
  7. "I swear, if I hear one more thing about Plot I'm gonna lose it. Platypus caused his death 100s of pages ago. Why do people still need to bring him up?"
  8. "Always the possibility of traitors." He cocked his head, seeming to think. "I think we'll need the help though."
  9. "I figured a questing companion might be nice. Shall we see if they want to join?" he asks, gesturing to Shoe and Nogard. no, he and OA teleported to near Nogard and Shoe. Think less of teleportation and more of accidental distance manipulation
  10. yes, but Zanitar has some funky stuff that kinda teleports him and his group. Zanitar waved to Shoe, then to Nogard.
  11. Platypus, watching all from afar, wondered who Shoe was waving to. Zanitar and the OA were quite far away, but perhaps... Oh, and now they were close. Good. Zanitar's magic was working properly. correct. It could be important "I was not sent, though it was close to it. I was asked by Platypus to investigate, and I chose to comply."
  12. he's not. He existed before Platypus made his Avatar. but he is a servant of Platypus. And Platypus wanted that computer. Overhead, a man flew with spectral black wings. He descended gracefully. "Hello OA. I am Zanitar. I am the Avatar of Platypus. He says that we seem to be going towards the same purpose and that I should join you."
  13. no. you're wrong. no, probs not
  14. no, the nowhere is what's in Soul's stomach. and also, cake trees in TBftS would still be able to make cake regardless of the difference between the nothing-space and the nowhere
  15. no, you can have the nowhere. The nothing-space is where the cake is
  16. FYI you don't need to approve things with people and you don't need one, they're pretty rare. pretty much the only one that sees consistent use is Vengeance, with Endings popping up now and again. Onyx, Desolation, Rirrom, and Nobody are from arcs that happened a while ago. Sequence sometimes shows up, but not commonly. Thaidakar isn't here anymore. Avatar and Rym (or rather, bookwyrm) haven't been here in a while. The fused destroyer and unknown monster are from that same arc that never got finished. You are welcome to have one though, if you want one. As for that concept, you might want to call it Plot Twist(s) rather than just Twist(s). And it seems like a fine design to me
  17. not the nowhere, the nothing-space
  18. The hamster saluted back, then stepped into a portal of his own. oh good. Platypus, listening in to the conversation, nodded. I need to send my Avatar to stop anyone from getting their hands on those blades. The research suggests that Plotblades can be destroyed, it just takes immense power to do so. The kind of power that Vengeance provides, combined with my own... skills should be enough. A portal appeared, and a hamster walked out of it with the OA's computer. "Wonderful. Thank you," said Platypus, as the hamster left to go back and live with his family. Platypus put the computer on a shelf. The shelf also held a Blade made of gleaming Prismite, which sometimes shifted materials as Platypus changed from Narrator to Luxsprite or Ennuller and back. Next to that blade was a red blade with black spots all across it, looking like rust for a normal blade. In addition to all of that, the shelf held two more items. Two Plotblades: Vengeance, and Plot development, which Platypus had acquired from Hacob. That could also be useful. Anyway, it's finally time. I've avoided doing this after what happened with Bookwyrm's Avatar, but I don't think I really have another choice. Platypus sat, cross-legged on the ground, meditating. When he rose, there was a man in the room with him. His silvery skin sending shimmering lights all around him, the man rose, and unfurled a pair of spectral black wings. He looked up, and opened his electric blue eyes that seemed to see into your very soul. Twin blades made of a glowing white metal formed in his hands, and the man nodded at Platypus and Platypus nodded back. The man exited Platypus' fortress and flew off. His destination? Far away, where a part of the council of the Order of the brave adventurers met. plotblades can pretty much continue as long as we have more elements of plot. ah, plotblades. I'm fond of them (as I kind of invented them) Long story short, a while ago, there was a dude named Plot. He was the physical embodiment of plot. He got killed by popular vote (cause TLT), but one person voted not to kill him, so his power went into his Blade, Vengeance. That was the first Plotblade. Plotblades are all named after elements of plot and have certain powers related to that. This is the list of plotblades and their wielders (to my knowledge). It is a little outdated, but mostly accurate.
  19. ... the nowhere-space... is in your "tummy tum tum"... makes sense to me!
  20. no. the cake is gone forever. it is in the nothing-space, where nothing can leave
  21. You could do something similar to the "dispel magic" spell, but with the range set to "touch" and it gains the "concentration" property, as well as changing the duration to a longer time than instantaneous. I would change it from a pass/fail like dispelling magic, instead using a % of Investiture drained based on the character's performance on the ability check. does that make sense?
  22. is he back or is this a different Brave Adventurer? Deep in his fortress, Platypus felt the air stir. There was news. A new plot was arising? Platypus realized he should have expected this. Thaidakar's Author may be gone, but Nameless was still here. He straightened up, then slouched again. He was too old for all this adventuring. Hacob would have to go to represent his Author. No, Hacob was visiting with Nowhere and Impossible. He wouldn't want to leave, and Platypus liked what he was doing there. No. It was finally time. Platypus would have to do it... He would make an Avatar. That was unfortunate for him.
  23. All of ya'll's actions are irrelevant as the cake was not where you thought it was. The cake never actually went into the sandwich thread... It is in the nothing-space. It has left this thread, as it was removed from it, but it never made it to the Sandwich thread, as the post that sent it there was non-canon! It wasn't bolded! the cake is lost forever.
