  1. I don't think Subversion has actually killed anyone. Now Platypus? He's killed plenty of characters. But Subsy? None (iirc) A guinea pig pointed out that Narration wasn't based on the plot, and could actually affect pretty much anything. That's why the Narrators were locked away after all. Deep within his slumbers, a dragon mentioned that just cause something isn't part of TLT's plot doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Hundreds, if not thousands of pages would be deleted if that was the case. A squirrel informed Platypus of Madness and its claim via his telepathic voicemail (he was kind of busy with Omen and couldn't take the call right then). A hamster pointed out that he was created by someone who wasn't a Narrator, and could therefore (theoretically) be banished by someone who wasn't a Narrator.
  2. Nameless you are lucky Hacob doesn't know Subversion just got called Subservance. He would laugh so hard.
  3. I know it's not new, just it's more common for my church than it is for the Catholic church.
  4. "So... you have no other defense? Just 'believe me, not that other dude.' That's it? Nothing more you can offer? No character witness testimonies, witness testimonies, explanations for why you contacted the Dreamsmith? Nothing?" Zanitar stares at him incredulously. As he walked in his bubble of light, he absentmindedly Created a world around him. A world unmarred by the endless conflict TLT had known. A world... A world like Thaidakar had wanted. He reflected on Thaidakar's final words to him as he walked down the path he made. He thought about what had consumed Thaidakar, what threatened to consume him. It all tied back to Plot, didn't it. Interesting. It was peaceful here, in the Creation from Void. Was this what Xino had felt like, all that time ago? Wait. Who's Xino? This peace was something one could never experience in the main-line TLT, something more... complete. Maybe Platypus would have to come back here sometime to experience it once more. Yes it is. There are exceptions, like Suddenly, Pineapples, but that is the general rule. There is a reason that Vengeance is more powerful than the others, and it's not cause it was the first. While part of the reason is that it is a more pure version of the others, that is not the main reason. The main reason is its narrow scope. How often does Vengeance come up? Basically the only people it would affect for Platypus are you, Nameless, and formerly Feanor, but he's dead. Two people is not a lot, signaling a relatively narrow scope. And while Plotblades do have very high dominion over their sphere of influence, but that isn't very useful when plot-weaving can sidestep that. You are right, however, that the lore does make it more powerful. That is my mistake. As long as it's not more Plotblade editing. Those things' powers are hard enough to keep track of without editing going on, and while forgetting the Dreamsmith weapons. Speaking of which, do you know where Unintelligible is? yes uh... technically you could argue Vengeance created the blades, or Plot, but if it's someone else than I don't think it could be a true Plotblade. Something similar, but not the same. Them breadmunks. They'll getcha.
  5. long story short, there have been several instances of people calling the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints a cult
  6. "Ow. Is there any way to do that less painfully?" Why did he send me here? Platypus summoned his Luxblade and advanced, dispelling the void as he walked. I'm just gonna ignore that, cause I don't think I was supposed to hear it. Just sayin, as a general rule of Plotblades, the more general their scope of power, the less power they have, and all 2750 pages of lore is a pretty broad scope. Alright. And civility? I'm fine without it in our heads, but not out loud I assume? That makes sense actually. Also, he didn't fight me. That was Platypus. Unless I forgot... maybe on page 1 in the inkling plot? I don't think I fought him... Do you have any more of that resonance? "Alright. Now, why did you do that? Convince me that you're not doing what the Brave Adventurer said you were."
  7. no one is really "in charge," but Xino probably knows the most out of us, followed by Nameless, followed by me. ... Zephrun? "Alright." Platypus fell into stride, setting a brisk pace. I think you'd be shocked at how effective an abstract thing like plot-weaving is against another abstract think like Lore, especially when boosted by Vengeance. Anyway, we have a deal? Neither of us reveals each other's secrets and we both act civilly around Nogard? Oh good, Hacob thought. Wait, Subsy, how did you even do that? Hacob looked at her, one eyebrow raised. I would strongly advise accepting the deal I proposed. "What wonderful timing!" Zanitar said walking over, then his tone dropped. "Oh. Subversion. Hello then. Will you be helping us?" Not waiting for an answer, he turned to the group that just appeared. Old guy, normal guy, weird guy... GW is probably the old guy. "Are you the Great Wizard that Brave Adventurer dude was talking about to the Council? Did you communicate with the Dreamsmith about forging weapons? Have we seen you before on this thread?" He turned. "Nogard, do you recognize him? His rhythms feel familiar." dear mikkibunkins Xino.
  8. ugh. more things that are accusing the church of basically being a cult.
  9. Hacob laughed internally. Platypus looked at him. "I suppose I can, but I am kind of in a hurry. The faster you can make them, the better." wait, am I remembering right? does he turn into the trial? Hacob was quite confused. He was standing in the air right next to her. She didn't need to slap that far. It sure would be terrible if Vengenace could completely counter that, wouldn't it? And I'm sure it would be even worse if he were to find out that you want to inform Nogard of our true nature. Is it? Are we sure? Maybe I will go, and just communicate with Subsy mentally instead of out loud so Nogard doesn't get mad at me. "There are very few. Eof probably knows him."
  10. a lot of brandon's fans are in utah
  11. ha! I win! I Haly didn't say yes to my no!
  12. I figured. on the bright side, on the very high chance that he's evil, he'll be much easier to defeat than last Brave Adventurer would have been. @xinoehp512, can you explain? I skipped several pages. Platypus easily kicked the dagger away from him, careful not to let the blade even nick him. Then, from a distance, he healed the assassin. "Go your way and do no more evil," he called, walking off. Hacob rolled his eyes. At least Subsy wasn't going to get them on Onyx's bad side. He really didn't want to be on Onyx's bad side. And the world is real, just a little... different than the one that Nogard thought it was. Hacob watched, intrigued. Apparently, if there was anyone that could get Subsy to do something useful it would be Xino. He was glad he wasn't going on this quest, as keeping civil with Subsy that long might be tricky.
  13. there is a reason that he spends most of his time in his base nowadays I swear I put dark. I'm so confused.
  14. "Nope. Don't even know who he is. I assume it's a he, cause Wizard, not Witch."
  15. shower thought of the day:

People associate glasses with being smart, but we actually had to fail a test to get them. We even got to look at the answers.

  16. uh... pretty long story. Long story short, it was after the Onyx plot, and in the Feanor plot. Hacob got created *cough Nameless cough* and platypus, who had been becoming closer and closer to aligning with plot became a being of ordered light instead of chaotic light. Sometimes if he's closer aligned to chaotic good he'll switch back, if he's closer aligned to ordered evil, he'll become an Ennuller, etc. I talked to Zephrun about it, and you were invited in the PM but weren't active at that time. Oh great, Hacob thought. Not another person obsessed with Subversion. There isn't room for more than- Hacob took a quick head count -all of us who already are. Zanitar coughed. "Can we get back to finding things out about the GW and saving the world?" Did he hear what Hacob said after her intro?
  17. Do you ever get that feeling: It's time to gaslight some gods into giving me cool stuff or favors or just not killing me? No? Just my DND character?

I have an obscenely large deception bonus (+13 to those wondering) and candles that allow me to commune with gods. I can theoretically convince all of them (except three (the two that created my race and my patron)) that my lies are the truth. I can't wait to use that.

In other news, I have acquired a deck of very, very magical cards from a very magical box, and that made the earth and sky goddess (the two I can't gaslight) very angry at me. We'll see how it goes.

I also might be able to get a thing like "divine intervention" for my warlock by using the candle to pray to my patron. we'll see. I asked my DM.

Also, I have a pet sheep and goat.

    DND is a fun game.

level 5. I have a +3 Prof, +5 natural, and +5 homebrew because my patron is the god of lying so I get a bonus (it would be advantage, but that would be suspicious to the other players, who can't know that that's who my patron is.

My DM has confirmed that using the candle I can get a divine intervention (modelled off of cleric, but not identical)

  18. "I am? News to me?" The ground shifted as a giant crack formed between them, Created by Platypus. He shifted then Narrated it back together before shifting again and Silencing the combat. Shifting back to a Luxsprite, currently his natural form, he rushed forward, Vengeance moving at speeds almost impossible to track. -- "Have you? Are you sure? My Author is still mad about Valiant being dead. Although, somehow, I do believe you have a conscience." Hacob looked at her deadpan. "Onyx? He's always listening. Much easier when one lives in the unreal space."
  19. ... yes. Platypus isn't a Narrator anymore. He shifts between being a Narrator, Luxsprite, and Ennuller, depending on the energy he is most closely aligned with at that time. Hypothetically, he could become a withergeist, but he hasn't. Hacob pops in and informs Sequence that it's not The Brave Adventurer, it's a different Brave Adventurer. Platypus chuckled, fending off their attacks with relative ease. Compared to his fight with Feanor, this was child's play. And that was significantly easier than his fight with Nameless. "My powers? Which ones would you be referring to? Creation? Narration? Ennulling? Destroying? Plot weaving? I don't need any of them to defeat you." Vengeance shifted between a great Blade, to a short sword, a dagger, a shield, a mace, a hammer, a rapier, and plenty of other combat instruments as he fought. Hacob appeared. "Subsy. You? Make people's lives better? I'll believe it when I see it. And Onyx said that they aren't allowed to know that!"
  20. I don't even get the option of not seeing that cause I see dark mode so I get white text
  21. true. it is very accurate.
