Alright guys, I've finished my character sheet for my upcoming campaign. I'll need to check off a few things with the DM, and adjust a few things about my character (it's a little hard to make a character when their race isn't in the handbook you have...) but it should be fun. I was playing a very min-maxed PC before, and this guy is not that. I'm looking forward to the play style with him, it'll be very different and fun. I'll let ya'll know how it goes!

In my experience @Edema Rue, I usually ask my players to have an idea for the vibe their character wanted. For example, one of my players “wanted a pet duck”. So we found a class that gave him a killer death robot duck. Just go in knowing what you want, and be prepared to make compromises.

My DM has started a new campaign and I'm super excited. I got @Edema Rue roped into it too. I can't say too much about my character cause Eddie will find out about him at session 0 and not a moment sooner, but some might call him a big boy. Perhaps a large lad.

@Edema Rue if you are genuinely trying to tell a story with a group of people you like, it’s gonna be stupidly difficult to mess up. Knowing you, you’ll do great! It’s just like the Insanity Clinic, just with pre-defined rules for how things work. The improv and rp aspects are nearly identical.

ye. our campaigns tend to have a little more combat than normal, so that's what I was talking about. Cash is right though, you won't mess up the RP. as long as you make a character you like it'll be hard to mess up RP. A fun backstory is nice, I'd work with our DM for that, just to make sure continuity works. I was doing that earlier today. He'll help you out

Guys, this is legitimately starting to get weird. A while back, I had a debate tournament. I was entered in two events (International Extemp and PF for those interested). The tournament was two days, speech day (Friday) and debate day (Saturday). I had a judge for my second round on speech day. That same judge was my judge second or third round on debate day. (This isn't that weird, it's happened before.) Then, that Monday, that judge was a sub for one of my classes. Then I was at the school like three hours after it ended on the Tuesday after that, and they were there. And now they're my sub. Coincidence? Probably
I THINK NOT!

I can think of several explanations:
You could be in the Truman Show and this is someone trying to keep a closer eye on you for some reason. Or trying to warn you you're in the Truman Show.
You're secretly developing supernatural powers and they're a member of a secret organization (government or otherwise) responsible for keeping those powers hidden. They'll soon approach and try to recruit you. Or maybe try to kill you.
You could just be really cool and they like hanging around you.
It's a coincidence.
Et Cetera.
