  1. Ash found Insa sitting outside the room in the hallway. “What in the world were you thinking?” Her tone was harsh but her volume quiet trying to keep the conversation from reaching those in the room. ”Aventine was right.” Insa spoke quietly and with little emotion. ”About what.” ”She would have been safe here.” ”There’s no way we could have tied her down like that.” “So scare him! Heavens above Insa! You didn’t have to kill him.” ”I wasn’t planning on it okay? I tried to scare him. He wouldn’t back down. If I didn’t do something he would have come back and then what? Who knows what he would have done?” ”Killing people isn’t you Insa!” They’re voices had gotten louder. Insa’s face went slack. “You don’t know me as well as you think you do then.” And she stood up and walked off down the hallway. ”I’ll apologize,” she called over her shoulder, “to Aventine only. But I have something to take care of first.” Ash sighed angrily and entered the room again. She went past everyone else and started moving stuff around in a cupboard.
  2. Ash smiled softly. “If you need me push the red button. Like always.” And she left to go find Insa.
  3. Ash stood up and moved to give them space giving Pic a sad smile in return.
  4. Ash stayed right by her. She knew grief was a fickle thing. There’s almost never a right answer on how to help. There’s not often a clear path to healing or a something that can be fixed by a doctor. Ash summoned a bar of light and let it pass through Aventine. It wouldn't fix anything. It couldn’t fix anything. But it could provide a comforting warmth, a small addition of stability of mind, and a protection from any outside being or person who might try to take advantage of Aventine’s grief.
  5. Very scholarly. Like dresses very cleanly and nicely, but not over the top. Just noticeable. Reddish brown hair and no glasses.
  6. Ash caught her before she could hit the ground too hard. She just held her and let her cry.
  7. Ash reached out and softly started to rub Ave’s back. Insa stood. “Whatever you’re feeling right now is valid.” And she moved to leave the room.
  8. Insa sat under her gaze for a moment. “He can’t hurt you again.” It came out as a whisper.
  9. “He’s dead.” Ash ran a hand over her face. “Insa…”
  10. “No he won’t. He can’t. And I swear on my life that should he somehow find a way, I will protect you at all costs.”
  11. "Look, I've taken... precautions. He can't find. He won't find you. He can't forgive you. He won't forgive you." Ash gave her a strange look. What did you do? What was necessary.
  12. Insa sighed. "No, you can't. Gem will follow you. He ran before any of us could stop him when he found out you were gone. I found him with your dad. Do you want that?"
  13. Ash "He may find you. But you will be safe here. No one here will let him touch you." Insa Isn't it so good to be with me again? Not really. Insa opened a portal into the infirmary, but it closed before she could step through. Insa... before you go back lets us discuss a little bit. You got nothing holding you back from going home now. Just go. Do what you know how to do. Except I do got something holding me back. I just found new friends. And new people to protect. If I go back their lives may be in danger. So no. You're like a week to late for that idea. Insa opened the portal again and made it through this time. She made a beeline to Aventine. As she walked into the room she heard the last of Ash's last reassurances. Insa sat on the edge of the bed. "He will never hurt you again.
  14. The net set Aventine's father down on the ground. Insa stood over him for a moment and then summoned her sword. Without a moment of hesitation, she plunged it through his heart. After a second, she removed it and walked away. She went to a small water source nearby and rinsed off the sword. And then she dismissed it. Look at you, little Miss Hero. Insa froze. Scud. Ash grabbed her and sat her back down. "He won't hurt you here. He's not allowed here."
  15. Insa smiled. A small net made of lightning formed around him and picked him up. She opened a small portal into an empty world and brought them both through.
  16. Insa let out a short laugh. “No you don’t.” She threw the lightning at him.
  17. “I didn’t know about you before.” She continued to move closer. “And unlike Aventine or any of the rest of them I don’t have anything else tying me here.” She stopped when she reached him. Her eyes had shifted from a deep brown to an electric blue. “I would and I will give my life to protect them.” She smiled, “Though against you? I think I’ll be okay. I’ve got some pretty powerful beings on my side.”
  18. Insa made sure Gem got through the portal before quickly closing it. She slowly turned around. As she did so lighting seemed to come from no where. There was no thunder just a silent stream of flickering light. It wrapped around Insa’s neck and then her left arm. “Do you really believe I would give you the opportunity to do so?”
  19. Clinic Infirmary Ash immediately reached out and put her hand softly on Aventine’s arm. Not grabbing just placing. ”Hey. It’s okay. You’re safe.” Elan? I may need some assistance. Other Side of the Portal Insa waited for a respond for a grand total of 5 seconds. ”You know what I don’t really care.” Insa turned to head through the portal ushering Gem through with her. @Ancient Elantrian
