    Mr. and Mrs. Laurier glanced at each other. "There have been fewer restrictions on travel between cities. So we've seen more people we don't know. We've also been leaving the house more and answering the door less, so there's no way to be sure."

    I'm gonna need to ask them some questions about it. I saw him here. I can't tell whether it was all a lie or if they're hiding something. I'm not entirely sure they're convinced it's me either. So I feel like we're at a bit of a standstill. Unless I try to give enough information for them to give us more.

    "My boyfriend might have been here. He's been MIA for a while, and then we got a tip, I suppose that he had been here. I figured it was about time for a trip anyway." Concern flashed across Mr. Laurier's face. "This really isn't the best place for foreigners." Insa nodded. "I know, which is why I figured I should probably check it out. He's strong and powerful, but that doesn't mean things will go well for him."

      I'm pretty good. I have new roommates and friends, and for whatever reason we've decided to be fairly social, which means I'm pretty busy, but it's been good.

    As Mr. Laurier finished closing the curtains, he turned around to face Insa and Elan. "Who is this Insa? And why are you here?" Mrs. Laurier chimed in, "And perhaps if there is time, you could explain how you are here." Introduce yourself. I need a minute to organize my thoughts.

    “Will I ever be allowed to talk to her?”

    Cora looked skeptical. "What's her name?"

    A voice sounded from another room. "Who is it?" Mr. Laurier rushed off and towards the voice. A hushed conversation could be overheard from the entryway. Mr. Laurier led a woman into the entryway. She hurried towards Insa and hugged her. "Please. Please come sit. We'll talk. Whatever you're here for must be serious." They turned and walked into a living room-like area. Mr. Laurier was in there, casually closing the curtains.

    Tortillas are low effort and easy. And not necessarily expensive. You can use them with any dip and practically any food. And it’s and easy way to combat “well I don’t have an appetite.”

    But you don’t have to do any of that with a tortilla. You can just eat it.

    Cora’s eye widened and she sort of wandered towards one. “This is really nice.”

    Cora nodded. “Is that where you live?”

    She paused for a moment on the doorstep before knocking three times. They could hear some shuffling and movement on the other side of the door. Nothing else happened. Insa frowned. She waited a minute or two. Then she three times again but shifted the rhythm slightly. Half a minute passed before the door opened. An older man stood in the doorway. He looked tired but not weak. There was a very clear quiet strength in his stance. But as he took in Insa and Elan his face softened. ”Insa?” Insa smiled a little. “Hello Mr. Laurier. May we come in?” The man nodded looking a little shocked. He moved out of the way for them to come in. Insa walked in. “Thank you.”

    “How many people live in this building?”

    “It’s the best option we have. There isn’t a ton of information coming out of here. And they helped me out a bit on my way out.”

    Insa nodded. “It was awful.” Insa took a deep breath. “We’re gonna go talk to them.” She started to move forward.

    She carefully watched his movements and continued to follow.

    Cora stared at the apartment building for a moment before hurrying after him.

    Cora followed him though despite her best efforts she was noticeably less confident.
