Who would win, the Ultimate Cosmere free for all.
Spearguy replied to Frustration's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I feel like that is a big part of this entire thread, there is no one strongest character, yours is a good all rounder good in both an all out brawl and over a longer period of time. While mine is not good in a fair fight, but in an actual battle with multiple combatants on each side it is much more powerful. -
Who would win, the Ultimate Cosmere free for all.

The first part is a mix of two things, one part is to keep them constantly connected to me, not controlling them against their will because that's a good way to breed resentment in subordinates, the second part is to make it so that without reapplied soulstamps their powers would be massively weakened (and the power required would need a perpendicularity). As for the second make sure that one of my minions is a speed compounder or a slider, also if I am not mistaken bondsmiths have been shown to slow down time as a side effect. Despite this outspeeding is gonna be a problem for this build. I designed this powerset more from the lens of overall power rather than just combat. -
It sounds like you are talking about here?

I like it, but I was under the impression that Re-Shephir was a midnight Prime Aether given her connection to the midnight essance.

not necessarily, seemingly inquisitors are in some way resistant to this sort of thing despite the fact that they have loads of spikes, I get the feeling that it's less about the number of spikes and more about how much they affect the soul. With both forgery and better understanding of hemalurgy than the lord ruler, the spikes could be placed in a manner that causes much less damage. Also what I would be doing is forging someone, spiking them, then after the forgery wears of putting the spike back in, this would probably do much less damage to the spirit web. Also a bondsmith could feasible use the same process they use to fix inanimate objects to help make it so that the soul is less damaged. But all in all yes these minions being taken over would be a problem, but the plan B would be to take away the opponents powers. -

Unfortunately in an all around free for all no prep time this build wouldn't do the best, but give me an hour, a few stamps, scrap metal and a loyal minion and I most likley win. -
These were my exact thoughts.

I totally agree with alder24 as well, with Kaladin the point of the fight isn't to beat his opponent, its about protecting those he cares about. This is one of the best ways to balance a powerful character in a story, give them more to handle, another amazing example of this in pop culture is superman, when superman is fighting it's not his own safety that matters but civilian casualties (at least that's how its supposed to play out). Kaladin is like this, all of his most impressive fights are against wildly stronger opponents such as a shardbearer or a fused but Kaladin wins because victory is more important to him, his purpose is saving others and it always has been.

Human: zero Forgery: 10 5th ideal bondsmith (nightwatcher): 860 Old magic- perfect understanding of how to use hemalurgy but unable to gain the benefits of hemalurgy or forgery: 890 nicroburst misting: 902 connector ferring: 914 6th heightening: 984 Aviar(cognitive concealment) : 998 This is built around not making me very powerful, but getting a goon or two and using forgery and hemalurgy to make them stupidly powerful -
Order: Realmbinders Surges: Adhesion + Transportation Radiant spren: Journeyspren Platespren: Starpren Resonance: allows for the creation of stable perpendicularites, but they function better as gateways rather than infinite stormlight (but they still produce stormlight) First Ideal: LBD/SBW/JBD Second Ideal: I will push my limits, mind, body and spirit Third Ideal: I will give others the power to push their own limit Fourth Ideal: I may not reach perfection Fifth Ideal: The reach towards mastery is a goal unto itself Theme: Bring together the physical, cognitive and spiritual aspects of yourself. push your own limits, and help others to do the same. The way I am thinking this would work is that the surge of transportation works by creating a tiny perpendicularity, and with adhesion it would be possible to stabilize to create a perpendicularity that can last a bit longer. Again I don't think it would create much stormlight, and it would be a ability that is only unlocked latter.

Order: Tyrantshatterers Surges: Division + Tension Radiant spren: Anarchyspren Platespren: Angerspren Theme: tear down oppressors Resonance: no idea but the powers could be used together to basically create shrapnel explosions First Ideal: LBD/SBW/JBD Second Ideal: I will bring the tyrant down Third Ideal: I will let none take their place Fourth Ideal: I will show restraint Fifth Ideal: I will not hold my power over others

Bronze savantisim may make it impossible for someone to to naturally be able to sense others similarly to a Drab, and in turn when burning bronze you could gain something similar to the Fourth heightings as Life sens and bronze allomancy are quite similar.

Mistborn, Feruchemist, Awakener, Surgebinder or Elantrian?
Spearguy replied to Ati16's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Awakening is probably the second most versatile of the options here I feel, the ability to bring any object to life is amazing just on its on, and that's without going into some of the other things we've seen from awakening, such as the way that breaths can interact with memories, or awakening circuits. The basic benefits from the heightenings alone make it very tempting -
Well both of them would affect water tension a whole bunch allowing one to almost change how much resistance the water gives you P.S I may have been thinking about Tension when I came up with this, but to be fair so far the haven't been that well differentiated

Order: Landswimers? Surges: Abrasion + Cohesion Radiant spren: seaspren Platespren: Wavespren Theme: take life as it is and accept what has happened Resonance: inhanced swimming ability First Ideal: LBD/SBW/JBD Second Ideal: What has happened has happened Third Ideal: There will be things I cannot change Fourth Ideal: Don't just leave injustice Fifth Ideal: I will not be dragged down In the same manner that the windrunners are like an air force, and the stonewards like primary ground troops, this order would be primarily be a navel power.
-
I just wanted to try and figure out some of the unknown resonances for the knights radiant, but an additional bit of clarification in that a resonance is a passive effect not a ability using both powers, but feel free to try and figure out how certain surge combinations work. Windrunner (Adhesion/Gravitation): Increase in squire number and power Skybreaker (Gravitation/Division): ? (But nothing to do with detecting guilt) Dustbringer (Division/Abrasion): ? Edgedancer (Abrasion/Progression): ? (Communication? ) Truthwatcher (Progression/Illumination): ? Lightweaver (Illumination/Transformation): Mnemonic abilities Elsecaller (Transformation/Transportation): ? (maybe ability to navigate Shadesmar) Willshaper (Transportation/Cohesion): ? Stonewards (Cohesion/Tension): ? Bondsmith (Tension/Adhesion): ?

I imagine that during the eventual conflict between Elendel and the Malwish the Terris enclaves will end up being a neutral party, both sides to afraid of antagonizing them. The Malwish because of the fact that they revere metalborn and the Elendel because of the fact that they can't afford to have so many powerful hostiles right next to them

How big is the army, are they being lead by anyone, and are the Koloss pre or post Catcendere?

Autonomy, but less hypocritical. Instead of freedom but only my way it would be more do your own thing as long as it doesn't stop others from doing their's.

I've always thought that A-Gold has something to do with your Identity, not only does it neatly parallel the way that F-Gold healing works, but it also in that allomancy currently has no Identity based powers which seems off due to the fact that Hemalugy and Feruchemy have a heavy Identity mechanic.

spoilers Avatar fits perfectly into the Cosmere, in this essay I will--
Spearguy replied to Nicosium's topic in Cosmere Discussion
What would the two native shards be do you think? My votes would be the shards Physicality or Spirituality (even though these aren't real shards, none of the known ones feel as if they would fit.) This would be an interesting way to explore the dual nature of the Avatar, as by their very existence they must find a balance between their spiritual duties and their earthly ones. -
The way I see it is that gold could either give you much greater insight into the psychology of your alternate self, or the more likely and interesting one is being able to see multiple shadows giving you access to more different possibilities.
