Liv opened the door for Astrid, peaking inside. Hopefully their weren't other . . . mist people in there.

"Mhm, you don't want it but your brother does. you'll defend him, and that means your in my way sweetheart," He said, eyeing the tapestries on the wall as if considering using one to tie December up. "And while December and her demon might not want the throne, they do want their northern province--the area that just so happens to be the strongest and most profitable in the empire, I'm not about to let them walk away with that."

Heartache's flames ignite the wooden boards of the mimics chest. Nera keeps her grip on the ropes holding it down steady as the fire grows. The mimic starts to shriek loudly as the flames completely engulf it. For a moment, there is only the sound of the beast screaming as it's body is charred and destroyed, trapped in the box it had once used to protect itself. Nera let the ropes slack as it stops moving, clearly dead. "Well that worked . . ." The sun had fully risen by now.

"No, because I just feel like it," Jan said sarcastically, "Of course for the throne, you stupid girl! That's what all this has been about from the very beginning."

"Yes, let me think," He said, shifting his grip on December, "I really shouldn't kill her yet, not until February's been taking care of, might as well make things easier on myself, right?" December was staring at her feet, not saying a word. "That means I ought to take you out first, but if I let her go she'll run . . ." Jan shook his head at himself, "I really wish I had more time to plan this out."

He explodes and gore flies everywhere, none of the other guards dare to approach him. February sighed, "I'd appreciate if you didn't do that." He stood, keeping a very firm grip on Arke's arms and pulling him up with him. "I'll just keep a hold of you myself, I guess." In the hall, right before she opened the door, she heard the sound of ceramic shattering. Inside, January was holding a knife to December's throat, her arms pinned behind her back. Her tea cup had fallen and and broken on the floor, the liquid spilling in a wide puddle. Jan looked up at April as she entered. "Oh good, you're both here, we can get this over with quickly."

"Are you ready to go know, or would you like to wait a minute or so?" The maid asked, sensing she was upset. "Yeah, no. I'm trying to arrest him, and all that." March waved a hand at the semicircle of soldiers around June and July.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know," She conceded. "You'd best get ready."

"-_- . . . I don't get paid enough for this, MY LADY ITS TIME FOR DINNER."

A maid slipped in and told her it was time for dinner.

"You just stabbed a guy!" He ran a hand over his face. "Listen, what's going on is really none of your business, go along with this and you'll probably get out of this mess with only a little jail time." "Good enough for me," February said. A soldier handed him some handcuffs, and he put them on Arke.

"So you are surrendering? Wonderful, Jeremy would you tie her up?" He waved to another nearby guard, who frankly looked terrified of her.

"Okay, you just took down one of my men which implies otherwise, but whatever." March glanced at June and July, before turning back to her. "I'd recommend surrendering, you're vastly outnumbered." A maid helped her, and made sure she had everything she needed before leaving.

March turned to look at her. "Who's this one again?" December gave April the option to use a guest room to clean up and calm down for a bit if she wanted. Now, December sat in the main sitting room of the house, cross legged by a low table. The walls and floor were covered in detailed rugs, and the furniture was carved with intricate patterns. She'd changed out of her ceremonial armor and into some more comfy looking robes. Her hair was down now too, falling in a long black curtain around her shoulders. She was reading a book, and had a steaming tea cup next to her.

She runs right into March, who still has June and July trapped at the end of the hall.

He yelled as the blade sunk in, and dropped his sword.
