  1. There is nothing more painful on this earth then when people critically like your old ugly artwork and ignore you're new stuff.

    Spoiler

    I literally.

Painted this massive new oil piece just for this competition, and it took weeks and I was really happy with it.

Just for them. It was just for them.

My teacher had me submit an old watercolor piece from last year with it because why not, we had the option.

They rejected my new piece but accepted the old one 😐

    WHY

    ITS SO UGLY

I MADE SO MANY MISTAKES ON IT

I WORKED SO HARD ON THE NEW ONE, ITS SO MUCH BETTER I SWEAR

THE SAME THING HAPPENED AT THE LAST COMPETITION WITH THE SAME. DAMN. PIECE.

I hope if they like it so much, they buy it, not because I think it's worth any money but because I never want to see the wretched thing again.

    *deep breaths*

    I'm fine it's fine everything's fine

    FANTASY-NO MAGIC

She doesn't notice you take the satchel at all, but the second he touches the hammer, she snapped awake. Her hand immediately went it it, pulling it away from him. "Excuse me?!"
  6. "Alright!" She let Lusha take the reigns, and sat back to ready her crossbow. "Oh I forgot, I got these for you," Nera handed her the bundle of arrow's she'd bought. They got going again, and the wagon continued down the dirt road, rattling along. According a map Nera had found in the Master's stuff, they had about another 3 days before making it to Morduno. They passed a few more way stops like the first one, but they were very spread out, and during this time of day mostly empty looking. There was also some traffic--the occasional merchant wagon or hiker, but it was by no means busy. (Anyone who didn't rest before, this is your chance now) The travelled for another two hours, past noon, without interruption. @SpiritOfWrath @Ancient Elantrian ---------- Jerehlu had sent the first group out already--his lightest travelers that could overtake the wagon and come back from the other side. Now, the other group was stalking quickly through the countryside. Jerehlu had explained that the road was on a curve, which meant if they cut through the wilderness they could catch up to their target fairly quickly. It was a little past mid day when they got close. Jerehlu stopped them to observe the road, where they could see the wagon ambling down the way, tiny from here. @Dragonheir
  7. "I don't like the idea of getting rid of the wagon, it's proof for the people in Morduno that we're telling the truth . . . plus, where would we find another one on the road out here?"
  8. Welcome to the Shard! Who's your least favorite character? Do you like bagels?
  9. "Yeah, I guess so." Nera replied. "I think we ought to just focus on getting to Morduno without getting attacked again first."

  12. The three of them got back to the wagon, just as it got past about mid-morning. Nera found Lusha. "Have you sent the letter yet?" @Spark of Hope

"I am!" He said optimistically. "You have nothing to worry about." She's still slumped against the table, snoring softly. You can't really get to any pockets easily, because of the armor, but there is: A hammer stuck in her belt, that would've been a normal work hammer if the handle was longer and the head was spiked. A pouch on her belt, about 6 inches deep. And a satchel on the seat next to her.

      The Bookwyrm

      Yeah, that is spoilery.

But it is vauge enough that there is still hope, because it's a Sanderson novel, and I can assure you that this one has the Sanderlanche to end all Sanderlanches. (So far.)
