  1. new biology teacher said we have to upload a meme that describes us so she can get to know us . . . the temptation to do a super obscure Silmarillion meme is so strong

  2. Welcome to the Shard! (Thanks for the random follow my guy) We love a fellow hoid enthusiast, you are by no means alone let me assure you! Who's you're least favorite Cosmere character so far? Do you like bagels?! (Also if you have any forum related questions, don't be afraid to ask. Plus, I think if you dig a bit you can find Treamayne's how-to threads somewhere, that are pretty comprehensive).
  3. She saw a scramble of movement in the bushes, as the person who fell starts to crawl away, clearly un-able to stand. The sword shoots into the forest, and hits something with a loud crack. Once again, there's not really a scream to indicate whether it his someone or not.
  4. The arrow shot into the trees, landing a bit lower, likely in the persons leg. She saw a flash of movement as their legs buckled, but they didn't yell out or scream.

    jm's art(?)

hehe yeah I have several family members who've read it but they all forgot everything So I have to find people online to talk to online instead lollll Honestly, I don't blame them, it's a lot to remember but it's still kinda funny.
  6. The grey moved a few yards, finding a spot between the trees to get a better view of the wagon. Luckily for Lusha, this hole in the brush worked both ways, and she had a clear shot.

    FANTASY-NO MAGIC

Inside there is: A thick book bound in leather, upon opening it, it looks like a handwritten journal. The type of thing that's really only valuable to it's user. A small pouch with a sad amount of copper coins inside, accompanied by some snail shells and a roughly fish shaped pebble. A strange woven and beaded string that has a small vile of clear liquid on the end. It looks important, but nothing about the liquid seems odd, it's probably just water. The vile itself is sealed shut. Some basic traveling rations wrapped in linen, an apple, and a water skin that's half full. An extremely old looking tinder box. And finally in the very bottom, a small handheld whetstone.
  9. She catches a glimpse of a grey tunic through the trees. They were moving around, but not coming out. With a little patience, she could probably hit one. The arrow disappears into the woods. There might've been a soft yelp, but no real confirmation it hit something. From below the wagon, he can make out some shadowy feet between the shrubbery. His shot lands somewhere between, and the people he can see jump away from that spot.
  10. Feeling kinda all over the place on this fine morning but not bad, which is good. Not that I feel good--I think that might be stretching things, and to say I feel good is to acknowledge all the reasons I shouldn't. Instead I think it's merely a good thin, that I don't feel bad enough to not feel good at all.

Anyway, does anyone have any tips on making friends . . . and getting people to like you? I have some new classes tomorrow and I want to try really hard to change things up and not be such a loner.

  11. yeah girly I think you're good considering the last one was literally just you at the end there
  12. "Yes, but the plan was to have them run out and fully occupy their attention while we come up from behind . . ." Nera ducked inside the wagon. If they weren't going to run out at her, then she'd just hide. A few more arrows hit, burrowing into the wood, their tips almost coming out the other side. ---- The squad that'd been sent up to investigate the other group creeped through the brush on the side of the road. It was impossible to avoid snapping a few twigs, but they did their best.
  13. TELRAO REMEMBERED ME GUYS
  14. Aki had no idea how to work with the strange light up box, so he asked JAMES if he could do something. The Kami started to try 'hacking it' whatever that meant.
  15. "It's not even night yet!" Nera yelled, shooting a crossbow shot into the trees. Such an attack from the bandits would have worked better under darkness, now that they knew there were bowmen in the trees, they weren't hard to spot. Another few shots hit the wood of the wagon with a series of loud thunks. Despite revealing themselves, they didn't leave the trees. Jerehlu had stopped again, raising a hand to shield his eyes as he stared forward. "That's odd . . . the wagon has stopped, why aren't they leaving the trees?' He motioned for a small squad to separate from the group and approach the fight to figure out what was going on. Alvar could go with them, or stay here.

  20. Waaaaait I remember you!! You might not remember me . . . my username has evolved since you disappeared . . . (Also loll I thought this thread was about Elan at first, and was trying to figure out how duckboy was a cat)
  21. Oh no, I totally get that! Don't think I'm a sub only enjoyer, sometimes the dub is better or more accessible. For example, when watching Trigun ('98), I switched back and forth between sub and dub out of curiosity, and found myself enjoying the dub a lot more. It's dub is far more loved in the fandom, because the voice-actors do an incredibly good job, and the jokes are done really well. (It might have something to do with the anime in general being more popular to western audiences, though maybe not directly). When I watched Trigun Stampede (The current remake), I made sure to watch it dubbed from the start, because they got the same voice actor for the protagonist from the original show to come back. That, and Tri-Stamp's dub references the old show more, and from what I've heard has a lot more heart to it then the Japanese version.
  22. I think we can still do the first plan (I'd rather it, really), but instead of planning every detail so they're as close as possible, we should just come up with a good summary of what we already have and then let everyone write a scene based on it. Yes, the differences will be bigger then just personal style, but I think it could be fun to see how each person decides to do the same points differently.
  23. They started moving again, following behind the wagon on the side of the road, slowly drawing closer. After another few minutes of peaceful travelling, an arrow shot out of the woods ahead of the wagon, slamming into the wood. "Dangit," Nera cursed, "A new one?"
