Apparently the deadline to submit my senior quote was actually weeks ago and I was just unaware . . . so that's disappointing : / I guess this means I don't have to think something up, so it's fine.

Sharlin glared at him. She hoped the bullet went through his boat and caused it to sink. Sharlin glanced between them, really taking note of the whole situation for the first time. "Squall, you should attack him so I can shoot him without breaking the rules . . ." She mumbled. Of course you'd choose brute force instead of a fair game, Sharp said, trying to give one of his normal quips, but she could still hear the concern lingering in his voice. "I'm bad at cards."

Okay okay update and announcement kinda
The planner I ordered online came yesterday, which is great. It's exactly what I needed and I think it's already starting to help me feel like a hot mess, at least to some degree. I'm hoping it'll help me get more of a grip.
That said, I'm still pretty all over the place
I realized that I missed the first deadline for submitting a really important scholarship this morning which was . . . not great for morale. I can still submit it, my application just won't have priority which is unfortunate. From what I've heard, pretty much everybody who applies to this one gets something, but I'm still going to worry. (The issue was I ended up doing FASFA a little later then was recommended, I needed it to be fully processed to apply for this scholarship yesterday, and it hasn't been processed yet).
I have read a little more WAT, I'm almost done with day four. My goal was to finish it before January ends but . . . that seems unlikely, at this point. I'm just going to combine January and February together in my reading journal because I didn't finish anything this month. I've seen people organize it seasonally, and I'm starting to understand why.
I did watch the first 3 episodes of Arcane s2! (which I'm 90% sure is the whole first arc). I've been taking it slow because it's pretty heavy, but I LOVE IT SO FAR @Edema Rue THE END OF EP3 LEFT ME DUMBSTRUCK WHATTTTT
Okay announcement time: If you haven't noticed, I've been a lot less active. I do have tons of free time, I won't lie and make it sound like I don't have several hours to myself everyday (though I am busier then I was before). That said, I'm finding it hard to be here at times because I'm just so low on energy these days. That and I have like 15 million hobbies I'm trying to keep up with, oh the curse of having multiple interests.
I'm not leaving the shard, don't worry
But, I do think I'm going to take a break from most of the role-plays here. I love role playing, but it's gotten really hard to keep up with and it takes a lot of energy for me. Think of this as a soft-hiatus, I might jump back into it soon, but for now I need to take a step back and stop putting pressure on myself to make posts everyday.
Specifically Bodyguards and Fantasy-no magic, which are extra hard because I'm using my creative energy juices to keep things rolling and to keep people interested. I don't necessarily plan out plot and stuff for those, I've just kinda been winging it, but it's difficult to try and tell a consistent story, provide hooks for players, pilot npcs, and all that. These rps don't have to end, or stop completely. Especially with Fantasy-no magic, which I apologize for partially commandeering in the first place
. I'll make posts in those rps as well, but please keep playing without me! (If anyone wants some plot details for Bodyguards specifically to help keep it running, pm me because I know we were on the verge of discovering some new info). As for other rp's I'm going to try and pop in once and a while, but we'll see.
I am going to try and stay completely active in HG, though. It's a bit of a priority because I've spent . . . a long time (years?) putting together some of the stuff I'm doing right now, and my current character. As just a player, it's not as hard to participate in, and it's fundamentally a bit simpler too. (I know I volunteered to be a GM for the next one but . . . we'll burn that bridge when we get to it). Obviously I don't want to stop rping completely because I love doing it, I'm just starting to realize I can't do so many at once without burning myself out.
I'll still be here chatting away (especially when I finish wat and need to scream my thoughts into the void), but I just don't have it in my to run several rp's the way I've been going so far. Watch for my annoying SU's about random things
Thanks for being patient with me guys! I know I've missed some stuff and left some people without a reply as things got more hectic, which I hope wasn't too frustrating. Love you

Okay, does anyone else have a friend that is just really emotionally and mentally draining to be around? And it's not their fault, it's entirely my fault and the result of my anxiety and my muddled mess of emotions. It just makes me feel like a bad friend, because they aren't doing anything wrong but it ends up being really difficult for me to be around them. (Obviously other people are hard too, but some people help me feel better and more energized when I'm with them for certain reasons). And I don't feel like I can step away or anything because what am I supposed to say? "You're emotionally exhausting for some reason and I can't be around you right now?" That seems so rude, and I know this person is really sensitive. (Btw I do know why they're exhausting, but it's things that are either really small and just add up, or my own anxiety. It's just really really hard). -
same but with light weaver . . . I had a cryptic character design and everything (he wore a Hawaiian t-shirt and his name was Mosaic before I realized there was a canon one called that) but then i took the quiz a few times and got Truthwatcher every single time so . . .

Welcome to the Shard! I guess forums are a bit less common these days, but just consider this a place to connect and build community with fellow fans--whether that's over the works themselves, or random off-topic discussion. Forums always have a bit of a slower pace compared to traditional social media, which is nice for more detailed discussion (and for those of us who preferred the more laid-back atmosphere).
